Hello!
Thought it would be a fun thread to start where y'all can showcase rooms where you've put the new types of staircases in, such as L-shaped ones or any other types you can manage to make!
I saw when they were showcasing this new feature that you can make many kinds of interesting staircases with it, so it would be fun to see what kind of creations people can make with it.
Here's a simple one I put together!

Since I challenged myself to make a 4x4 build, I made use of plenty of the stairs. Here's the kitchen (yay for basements )
Ah, smart and nice way of doing it!

The one thing that bothered me was the stairs.
Edna's home has an L-shape stair case. I settled for this in TS3.
I used cheats to create one...
...but it was a mess when the walls were down.
I stuck with the same straight stair in TS4...
Until now.
Simmer is happy.
I used the moveobjects cheats to place windows next to the stairs.
It should be fun to go back to all my TS4 homes and see how custom stairs can improve them.
I love how easy they seem to be to use. I’m really excited to go back into some of my builds and fix up the stairs a bit as well. It’s a really cool feature.
The stairs in the basement are a reverse copy.
This is reminding me that I should save all my staircase configurations so I can plop them down in a pinch.
Judith Ward's home (recreation by lilsimise).
A community lot in Del Sol Valley - Orchid A Go Go. I always hated how the end of the stairs was right at the wall.
A recreation of a Sims 1 home, not mine, but the stairs are what I changed.
Lets make this a reality!
This is how I made some for one build and I really like watching the sims use them for some reason lol...
That's awesome.
I am looking forward to creating some grand staircases.
> I haven't quite figured out how to use the configurable stairs yet. I know there's a widget, but I must be doing something wrong. :/
For me, I just set the staircase down in the original fashion so that it looks like the standard staircase. Then when you click it, it gives you new arrow selections to click and drag to make the staircase L or U shaped. There might be a more savvy way of going about it, but that's what I've accomplished so far xD
> Ohh...after looking at it, I decided to change it. LOL

Hey, both look pretty cool but I love that second version! Nice
Really beautifully made! Nice that you were finally able to make it work!
