Ty for the Hijabs, a cultural stuff pack pls🙆🏻‍♀️💛

«1
I love the hijabs. TYVM 💛. You all are doing a great job of trying to include everyone. I'm enjoying the game again.(Wish we had cars though, but oh well).

Anyway, I would really like a pack dedicated to celebrating the various cultures of our world's players. CL was great at incorporating quite a bit culture to the series. However, some of the cultural clothing in that pack were very westernized. I'd like to see traditional Kimonos and Hanboks. Kilts and klompens for our sims too? European countries have a lot of cultural wear too. A new social event related to cultural diversity, and a world travel television channel? Maybe add a German "juice" festival too. Idk.

Nontheless, thank you for implementing what we have so far.

Yes! Id love to see more cultural clothing and architecture. Also some objects that go with it. Like a tea set to preform a japanese tea ceremony.

The Sims has currently lost its identity. Bring it back for TS5

I'd prefer them to continue with adding these cultural items for free in the base game :)

Nice idea! I’d like some more Asian looking build/buy items.

I'd rather we got packs that focused on specific cultures, ala Jungle Adventure and Island Living, than just putting a bunch of culture stuff into one pack. I'd love to have traditional Japanese architecture and clothing, but that stuff would look out of place in the middle of StrangerVille or Willow Creek.

[Edited by EA_Mai - removing off topic]

Back on topic: seconding OPs thank you and I hope this opens the doors to more cultural items from other parts of the world. It's always lovely to see a variety in CAS and BB.

I think it would be cool if they allow us to have the npc dress anyway we want that why we could have the game be anywhere or any time we want
also it would be cool if we could upload worlds then we could do sims around the world tours with land marks and clothing that would really be there I think that would be fun
more for sim kids and more drama please

    I know ;)

My granddad wore them when working in the garden. I don’t think even farmers do anymore now, they’re a tourist item, not something people still use or wear. They’re not cultural, they’re folkloric and stereotyping more than anything else now.

I'd love to see new cooking recipes added when some cultural items are.
Also, why not add the typical 'Slavic babushka' headwear? Or some weirder facial hair such as beard braids (metalheads need some love too!)
I like fantasy and a bit of Sci-Fi. Want to know what I'm reading?
I also like wandering the hills.

The new headwrap covers that pretty well.

@Movotti Same as with hijab there are many ways to tie it and none of them is the only right one :)
I'd love the under the chin option too.

I would LOVE more Asian clothing and architectural items. I third the Hanbok. <3

Although I prefer to keep religion separate from my game, now it is no longer absent there are some items I would like to see:

    Inspired by Jewish-culture, a Kippa:

Inspired by Christian-culture, a Cross necklace and a Nativity Scene decor item:

Inspired by the culture of Buddhism, a Buddhist Monk's robes and a Buddha statue:

And inspired by both Christian and Jewish culture, some stained-glass windows (perfect for Churches and Synagogues):

And I can't believe we haven't got a Bindi and Henna yet:

No Bindi, but I believe that there are henna-like hand tattoos already as part of the Denali pack (?) Little by little the team has been adding items from many cultures. Heck in some circles, dreadlocks are a type of religious symbol, as are full beards and turbans. All of those things exist in the Sims as well.
