Off the grid questions

I did a little gameplay last night and to my joy, off the grid seems less buggy than before, but I still have some questions. Hoping people who play with the trait can help:
- My sim still has bills. Quite high bills actually. Is this supposed to be the case?
- Is there any fridge that works with the trait? Or are the grills, firepits, and coolers the only options?
- My sim is unable to put out any fires on her lot. If this is a bug thing, I can file a report, but I am just wondering if this is just me or a "feature" of the trait.
