So on my new computer I have The Sims 2 installed on my ssd but I don't want my game saves and all my downloads there. Can I somehow make them go to my hdd and the game still find them and play?
Your saves will go to whatever drive your My Documents is on. You would have to move that folder to your HDD to do that.
I see your avatar is Sims 3 which means you would lose the speed on loading the parts of Sims 3 that reference your My Documents - saves, CC, custom/store worlds. It would also affect any other games that you have that stores their saves in My Documents.
Here's a link to the instructions on how to do this:
Thank you Seera1024. My avatar is sims 3 but I don't even have it loaded and have no plans to any time soon. I love sims 2 way more and play sims 4 a little. Thanks for your help, I will check into this more and follow your link.
