Sims 3 In Sims 4

elanorbretonelanorbreton Posts: 14,518 Member
Howdy all! I have decided to start myself a huge project (gulp)!

I want to recreate all of my favourite Sims 3 Lots in Sims 4 and kind of base each world around a Sims 3 world.

Not sure about which worlds to do as which though??? Maybe -

Willow Creek as Sunset Valley
Oasis Springs as Appaloosa Plains
Newcrest as Twinbrook
Windenburg as Riverview (with exterior building changes)
San Myshuno as ?
Forgotten Hollow as Midnight Hollow
Brindleton Bay as ?
Del Sol Valley as ?
Strangerville as Lucky Palms
Sulani as Sunlit Tides

They may need switching around a bit. I definitely want to include Twinbrook and Monte Vista somewhere, anyone any ideas?

Anyone else ever done this?

EDIT: Here is the link to my picture album and game save for anyone interested:

Del Sol Valley could work as Starlight Shores? Maybe Windenburg could be the new Twinbrook?
Never done this but it sounds fascinating! <3

I had forgotten about Starlight Shores and Aurora Skies!

I have started in Oasis Springs with AP at the moment. I am making them to include my Sims 3 edits, rather than the original EA lots. I've done Novigan Park and the pool and am now working on the library:

(I haven't done the inside yet)

I am having so much fun remaking them!

Sounds like a fun project! I love the park 😍 I do not personally know how to do it, but maybe you could share your world/save file so others could play. Wasn’t there a YouTuber who did that? Because I hear people mention using her save to start their game. Or, I just remembered, could just use the Gallery. Do you share things on there?

Thanks @ThePinkBookGirl and @MissyHissy - I do share a few things on the gallery, but I would have to play-test them first. It'll take me quite a while.

What I am doing is loading up the Sims 3 game on my right-hand monitor and Sims 4 on my left-hand monitor and just building them in Sims 4 by copying what I see on my other screen. Nosalgia overload :)

Wow you go girl. LOL I trust you have someone to bring you your meals or at least remind you to stop and eat now and then.

Oh, sounds fun, but such a big project! :open_mouth: When lots are done you will probably also recreate all your families?

PS: I love big projects like this! :)

@Simmerville yes, I'd like to add all the sims 3 families in for each world.

Is nobody else out there doing such a thing?

I've converted some families like the Goths and the Altos, tried some buildings, but as i don't have two monitors it's proven really difficult for me to just work with screenshots.

I love this project and it’s exactly what I’ve been doing ever since I returned to the game.

I’m not a builder but I can assure you of the Sims I upload. I’ve created all of their grandparents, aunts/uncles, relatives etc. and properly kill them off with the correct death cause.

I’m using Vlad’s residential home as the cemetery (place to kill them).

I’m always on the hunt for remade/remastered versions of their homes in the gallery to be placed across the different neighborhoods in the game.

You can check out my gallery.

    IGN: hestiah23

    - I’m not finished with all of the households. Sit tight. :)

Im currently going through The Sims 3 timeline (past), then eventually will move on to the present (The Sims 1), and finally the future (The Sims 2).

Not a fan of this strange “alternate timeline” Maxis has offered us for The Sims 4.

I’ll keep this post updated with some more screenshots later.

Please do note that I’ve fixed Bella’s hair in-game to have it untied. :)

As for the neighborhoods, I’ve mixed and matched different areas according to their background and lifestyle. For example, my Claire Ursine lives in Brindleton Bay near the docks.

Although, I would love to request someone to recreate her home to fit the lot sizes in that area.

@Hestia sounds great, I will take a look when I'm home from work.

@Marduc_Plays which buildings did you manage to do?

Some of my models that hail from The Sims 1 and The Sims 2 are prototypes.

I am only most confident with Claire Charming and the Burb family. Others need some tweaking here and there.

I’ve double checked most of the clothing, lineage and facial features, plus personalities for all that were present on the Sims 3 that I’ve uploaded in the gallery. They should be as close enough as possible.

It’s 10.33 PM here now and I think I’ll be able to continue tomorrow morning.

    Checklist for tomorrow:

    - Andrews
    - Hart
    - Sekemoto
    - Ursine
    - Bunch
    - Frio
    - Wainwright

It takes at least 2-3 hours to make these and especially with family trees, relations, killing off Sims and moving them in the correct residential lot.

If I have extra time, I’ll complete the rest of Sunset Valley. Will keep this thread updated.
