So, so proud of him. Wanted to hug him through the entire video, and punch all plum people really hard where it hurts.
So glad, he survived. So glad, he found Phil.

Exactly how i felt after watching the video
A french girl who's been hanging out on the english sims forum for a year now.
Why the heck did that word get censored? I don´t get this site´s program sometimes. I probably can´t even explain it without getting "plumed" again.
It meant anti-gay people. Is it working? Hope so.
Phil managed to fool me a bit. I mean, his video wasn´t really a surprise (not after Dan´s), but he did his usual thing - pleasant, friendly, funny, talking a lot without actually giving much detail, and I was like... oh, okay, well, that was his coming out video, right. Didn´t hit me in the gut like Dan´s did.
But after thinking a bit (and some tumblr posts examining the whole thing) it became clear, that, even if he didn´t get as much flak as Dan, he also had a LOT of problems growing up, knowing he is gay. Worst of all, he got outet - which has to be the absolute nightmare for every closeted person.
I´m really proud of them and happy, that they don´t have to hide anymore.
@Waterdragon I agree - it wasn't much of a surprise after Dan referencing Phil as his 'soul mate' in his video. I figured it was coming. I'm still happy for Phil, and I'm proud of both of them, but Phil's video didn't hit me like Dan's. Dan's made me cry (craft). It's not to say that Phil's wasn't important - I just think that he took a very laid back approach on it. I am curious to know what kind of 'tumblr posts' you saw that examined it? I've stayed out of the phandom lately as I got a lot of hate recently, so I'm completely out of the loop at this point. I imagine Phil did have a hard time growing up though, it was hard for everyone who wasn't heterosexual. Maybe one day he'll be ready to share his story with us.
I am super proud of them though. Especially with Dan's recent post of him being at pride. I missed it this year, but I'd love to go next year as an ally. I've lowkey maybe not so lowkey shipped them my whole life. Please don't give me the lecture about forcing it upon them. I never forced it. I was never overly vocal about it. I have to say, I watch their videos differently now. I notice Dan's heart eyes more often, and when they're together, I notice how happy they usually are.
YES! Now that they're out in the world again, I'd love another gaming video. Or sims video.
I actually don´t see them any different - from the beginning, I thought it was perfectly obvious, that they love each other. In what way and how they express it was not so clear - and still isn´t, neither of them said that they are together in that way now.
But what´s important, they are happy.
The phandom at the moment is supportive (of course), but I have a feeling, that a lot of people are a little shell-shocked, like: "... For years I watched all their videos in slow motion to find out, if (for example) Phil´s finger touched Dan´s hair, and now they just admitted that they are gay?? And were/are gay for each other??!"
It´s seriously hilarious.
Does anyone know if we can still send them letters directly, via Gleam or whatever? I don't have Facebook or Twitter and can't send messages that way and I don't want to leave what I want to tell them in a public YouTube comment.
Sorry, no clue. They seem to read the letters that they get at conventions and stuff, but that´s not really an option, I guess. Pity, that they don´t have a p/o box anymore, but they probably would need several warehouses by now.
(I meant no offense to any member of the phandom with my last comment. I admit to watching gifs made by those determined people who watched their videos that way and getting all gooey).
@Waterdragon I too admit to watching my fair share of Phan conspiracy theories.. Oops.
@mintycupcake I don't think you can anymore with the amount of fame they've gotten. Maybe if you had an oppurtunity to meet them, you could give them a letter... But as far as I know, Twitter is your best bet. Back in ~the olden days~ when I used it, you had to be fast, and you had to be ready with your tweets/replies to Dan and Phil, otherwise they would be lost. I never did get noticed by them via Twitter, I eventually just gave up. Sometimes, if you're fast enough, you can try commenting on their Facebook posts. It's less popular than other forms of social media, and I notice that they do reply to quite a few comments when they post.

Thanks for your reply Jase. I'm sure they know that they've touched many people's lives and that will have to be enough.

Now I want a new gaming video. Preferable Sims!
