Your WIP is looking great! @meowcatmeowkitty Either of the colour schemes that you are planning to have will look great! The pillar type you are using looks very nice.
I am only JUST dipping my toes into TS4, having availed myself of the free base game giveaway last month, to give it a try. And I have only JUST BEGUN to try to figure out the new build mode, different enough from TS3 that it's a steep learning curve for me.
Accordingly, I am starting by learning to modify existing EA/Maxis lots. Changing out wall colors and pillar styles was easy enough. Challenge mode came when I looked at, and attempted to emulate, the cool pierced mid-mod porch roof on the Sandtrap Flats residential lot in Oasis Springs (you can see already that I like terra-cotta trim much better than olive green):
I had also added a pool - that back patio begs for one - and wanted to add an outbuilding as a poolhouse, a place to shower and change, and also somewhere I could deploy my hot tub, massage table and sauna. But I wanted to try to keep in the style of that amazing roof.
Turns out, it's not a roof at all. It's a FLOOR, made by making narrow, crossing rooms a level above, then deleting THEIR roofs and walls, and adding building trim. I figured that out by accident!
It fits (with bb.moveobjects) the hot tub, massage table and sauna, with an entirely enclosed toilet-sink-shower, and I am pretty pleased with it. If I can get an interior I am as proud of, I may share to the Gallery - but as yet I am way too shy with my design. I am pleased with how this lot is coming together. It's certainly giving me confidence to keep going!
Your build looks very great! @Sindocat Very nice roofing! The pool house looks great!
When you have done the interiors it would be very nice to upload the home to the Gallery. Simmers would like having it in their game:)
My WIP at the moment in San Myshuno is for a monthly challenge by @BreeMiles the June #Tag is #SNSJHChallengeByBM if you want to join in
My House so far, the main residents will be Artist's of different talents. I thought it could be a share home for a change.

Your WIP is very nice! @luckyheather It is great that you are building in SanMyshuno! Very nice exterior of the build! The brick wall texture and windows are very nice! The car port and the hot tub in the pool are very nice. Very nice glass roof artist studio!
I guess I've somehow finished the exterieur of my houseboat. But as far as it had turned out, it's more a real yacht than a houseboat. I like the somehow "ready to cast off" look, while ordinary houseboats looks more "grounded".
Next step will be the finishing of the interieur. I already have a floor plan.
And I'm thinking of something on the beach, like an additional hut. Don't know.... There is plenty of room.
Bonxie: Great Skua, stercorarius skua. Meet me on Fair Isle.
@Bonxie, that's amazing! The detail on your boat is perfect! I hope you'll let us know when you finish it because I would love to see that in game! Great work!
The exterior of your boat looks great! @Bonxie It reflects a real life boat so very well! Very nice deck areas and the blue exterior colour is very nice.
Have started updating community lots in my mostly played worlds. Because of all the game pack/expack additions, they really need an update. And right now it's a Gym & Pool lot in Oasis Springs.
Trying to make it somewhat of a mix between the modern and mediterranean styles of the world, but not feeling super happy about it, though it will do. The plants looks so lacking, yet I don't want to add too much to fit the desert.
Your WIP is looking very nice! @RIP-Troika-Games Very nice exterior design of the building which complements with the Oasis Springs landscape and other buildings very well.
It looks great!
Hi I have created Robinson Crusoe as a sim so now I am doing a home for him, I decided he has been on the Island some while and built this home over the water and has used different woods and some found items. It has a lookout tower and it will have harvestables and local plants.
Your Robinson Crusoe WIP is looking very nice! @luckyheather The exterior design, layout and wooden textures are very nice! The lookout tower is very nice! Very nice roofing, and the deck areas are very nice .
Thank you @rosemow I have enjoyed starting it today and have most of the inside to do but I am not used to the 'off grid' items allowed as most do not say if they can be used or not. But with a sim on the lot I can work it out I hope
