@Jude525 well i love this wild island look π I just removed some isles and try to create a bigger City at the main isle... At the edges of the map, Sims r not routable (like Sunset Valley) first yellow paint and then blue paint at the edge. And i really hope i have fixed most routing problems. This map is just so amazing like Roaring Heights. π Just need a lot of more time π€π
@goodFeel93 It sounds more like you have found a project that you are enjoying than just solving a problem so that you can move on and play. So I'm very happy for you.
I have NEVER used world editor successfully, so only vaguely understand your references for painting routable and unroutable areas. Once I simply tried to add a cul-de-sac into a lovely empty space, but I couldn't control the street placement and finally gave up. I figure, if I can't "draw" a street, creating an entire town, or even doing a major overhaul, is not my thing. I'll stick to my lot designs that I'm so happy with.
I personally recommend that you simply find some dive sites on the Exchange and use Sunlit Tides with the Expansion Pack active. For that matter, I've built houseboats in Sunlit Tides with no apparent lag as well. Toss in a couple beaches with Lifeguard stations and a Resort and you'll have all the playability of the pack with none of the headaches from the accompanying islands.

Short Update.
I'll give up on Isla Paradiso. I did so much but it's still laggy af -_- It doesn't run smooth like my edited Roaring Heights with over 300 Lots! Maybe it's because there's so much water around or too much hills whateva but ..yeah this is it.

@goodFeel93 I am sorry to hear that all that hard work came to nothing. You invested so much time and effort. As I said, I'm only going to play it long enough to complete the unique lifetime wish, then I will switch to the Sunlit Tides option I'd mentioned. I've heard it has far fewer issues. Dive sites and houseboats can still tax some systems, but many of the systems we "devoted" players have should be fine.

Not sure if it will help, but here are my 2Β’. Back then, I Googled around and found 20+ blogs and posts about what to fix in Isla Paraiso. So I did everything they suggested that made sense. It basically came down to:
Dozing all "Houseboats" and subsequently deleting the "Houseboat" lot (except yours if you want one);
Evicting and dozing all houses on remote islands (except the two main island and the one with the "Science Lab" on it;
Finding a specific lot (there's one, and back then everyone knew which one it was) that isn't serviced by neither a road or a trail. Evict and doze it;
Always be on the lookout for NPC houseboat spawning, once in a blue moon when a new family moves in. Evict and doze on sight;
Install mods and disable horses and get error trap running for a couple days. If you get an error message that any NPC that you know to be "Mermaid" is reported as stuck, reset them immediately. If one steadily gets reported as stuck, make them die
That's what I did and Isla Paraiso did run smoothly-ish for a while up until I started working on experimental "Diving lots" and "Houseboats". (Never ever put windows in a "Houseboat" basement.)

Maybe that's why your Isla Paradiso is still lagging - you're not following exact instructions. You're not suppose to bulldoze the whole island to the ground or delete every single tree - just the ones in the instructions.

If you don't feel like working on Isla Paradiso, there are people who already edited out most of what causes the lag so you can just download theirs. Just do a google search on it
You were thinking of making a tropical update to Sunset Valley and you can most certainly do that! I've added several diving lots to Sunset Valley - the water there is deep enough in most areas that you can add those very tall seaweed plants.
In Sunlit Tides, you'll have to deepen the diving lot with terrain tools but it's workable.
I see that you like Roaring Heights also - you can add diving lots there too as the water is also deep there in most areas! I added three near the beaches there, and two past them closer to the army base on the east and past the bridge on the west side of the world

If you don't want to work on any world though, there are quite a good number of fan-made tropical worlds that have plenty of diving lots and have no lag! Some already have a few houseboats but if not, they're easy to place. There's a long running thread here about favorite TS3 worlds and I found some that way. And there's the exchange as well!

Believe it or not but am back at "Isla Paradiso"
At night while i was sleeping, i heard some (jungle)-voices in my head and they told me i should go back to Isla Paradiso. Creepy but yeah...
I put my headphones on, choosed Sepultura on my playlist and ran back to "Isla paradiso".
Deleting some isles AND the lots on the isles and a bit routing fixes. If it's playable, it's good! Maybe just some extra lots and community lots from Sunlit Tides

Short Update.
I'll give up on Isla Paradiso. I did so much but it's still laggy af -_- It doesn't run smooth like my edited Roaring Heights with over 300 Lots! Maybe it's because there's so much water around or too much hills whateva but ..yeah this is it.
It looks so wonderful but it's unplayable

- Dozing all "Houseboats" and subsequently deleting the "Houseboat" lot (except yours if you want one);
- Evicting and dozing all houses on remote islands (except the two main island and the one with the "Science Lab" on it;
- Finding a specific lot (there's one, and back then everyone knew which one it was) that isn't serviced by neither a road or a trail. Evict and doze it;
- Always be on the lookout for NPC houseboat spawning, once in a blue moon when a new family moves in. Evict and doze on sight;
- Install mods and disable horses and get error trap running for a couple days. If you get an error message that any NPC that you know to be "Mermaid" is reported as stuck, reset them immediately. If one steadily gets reported as stuck, make them die
That's what I did and Isla Paraiso did run smoothly-ish for a while up until I started working on experimental "Diving lots" and "Houseboats". (Never ever put windows in a "Houseboat" basement.)My Traits: Socially Awkward / Artistic / Family Oriented / Hopelessly Romantic / Absent Minded

Maybe that's why your Isla Paradiso is still lagging - you're not following exact instructions. You're not suppose to bulldoze the whole island to the ground or delete every single tree - just the ones in the instructions.
If you don't feel like working on Isla Paradiso, there are people who already edited out most of what causes the lag so you can just download theirs. Just do a google search on it
You were thinking of making a tropical update to Sunset Valley and you can most certainly do that! I've added several diving lots to Sunset Valley - the water there is deep enough in most areas that you can add those very tall seaweed plants.
In Sunlit Tides, you'll have to deepen the diving lot with terrain tools but it's workable.
I see that you like Roaring Heights also - you can add diving lots there too as the water is also deep there in most areas! I added three near the beaches there, and two past them closer to the army base on the east and past the bridge on the west side of the world

If you don't want to work on any world though, there are quite a good number of fan-made tropical worlds that have plenty of diving lots and have no lag! Some already have a few houseboats but if not, they're easy to place. There's a long running thread here about favorite TS3 worlds and I found some that way. And there's the exchange as well!

Believe it or not but am back at "Isla Paradiso"
At night while i was sleeping, i heard some (jungle)-voices in my head and they told me i should go back to Isla Paradiso. Creepy but yeah...
I put my headphones on, choosed Sepultura on my playlist and ran back to "Isla paradiso".
Deleting some isles AND the lots on the isles and a bit routing fixes. If it's playable, it's good! Maybe just some extra lots and community lots from Sunlit Tides
