Karritz, thank you for this thread! It's great to see how everyone is using these new items and being so creative with them! Hopefully the store team will see this and maybe we will get another "build" set sometime soon.... wishful thinking anyways! I did create a lot, and I hope it's ok if I post it here Karritz since I did start a whole separate thread?! :?
Dark Dwellings is a 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bath home on a 50 X 50 lot. I used the fog emitter quite a bit for effects and there are also three non-playable ghosts roaming the grounds. This lot was created using only EA items and patterns.

Inspired by the Mansion set and the now and then theme. I went to MH and started to brighten up some lots and put in other worlds. I have just changed the color palette and some patterns.

    Hi All,
I was wondering if someone would be able to help me?

I am trying to use the roof pieces that came with the set and well I am having issues, on my ground floor I have a wall built out to put a bay window in.

These are 2 x 6 and I am trying to place the roof pieces and well if I try and place them in the correct place they float.

then it only lets me place them correctly and not floating if I put them forward so they are sticking out over the wall, or back one space so I can not see the fascia of the roof.

Is there something I am doing wrong?

Thank you Eveebella. You are now on the first page too. :D

It is the weekend and I can finally get my computer on and do something with Sims for a little while. Not too long though as I have lots of other things to do. I'm dying to get time to build something with this set. I've only used it for one build so far - that - spooky bakery. I'm hoping by next weekend I'll have time to do some more building. And then the new set will be out.

Decisions decisions - do I start another new thread for it? Or incorporate it in roller coaster thread? I think it needs a new thread as not everyone will want to add a roller coaster to their build.

Please let me know if you have added a link to your build in this thread and I've not got it into the list in the opening post.

I haven't tried to use any of these pieces yet. But when I do and if I work it out, I'll let you know here.

Unfortunately a lot of the images have been ruined by Photobucket - but I hope this thread is still useful. It has a lot of good info and builds in it using these store items.

Once you've installed something it stays installed but may not show up in your library. I do have both versions of the manor in my library. But things do often go missing. Previously this has meant a total reinstall by starting a fresh Sims 3 folder. But I've since worked out a way of doing it that is a bit fiddly but takes a huge amount less time to fix than a total reinstall. I made a video of it.

    https://youtu.be/l1KwkjJDtrg

If you have any problems solving the problem then let me know. If you choose to watch the video you might need to pause it regularly to get the job done. good luck.

    Happy Simming
