I've found that my favourite dog traits are loyal, hunter and adventurous. They bring my sims back lots of interesting packages. Fun to right click their icon and follow them too.

If you have your sim wash clothing with flora additives, there is an option to sniff sims wearing those cleaned clothes! This is news to me. lol Sorry if everyone knows this already.
