I recently installed Supernatural so started a temporary save to play around with supernaturals since I can't see myself playing them often in my regular generational saves. Josh (witch) and Eddie's (fairy) two kids are currently children but I aged Glinda up in CAS for a sneak peek.

Daughter, Glinda. She is mostly Josh but has Eddie's eyes.
@korset Congrats on gen 12! The kids look great! I think Paxx is my favourite
I can't let go of sims I love! I have sim files on external drives and flash drives squirreled away around the house so I never lose them
What annoys me is when sims have twins or triplets they never have the same color hair. One of my first sim families had twins, Walker and Lexi, and I had to change Lexi's hair to match Walker's.
Hoping I won't have that issue with Willow and her brother (I forget to play for 3 days and forget his name already! I'm not old enough to forget things yet! LOL)
They'll likely age up to toddlers in my next gameplay so I'll post pics after that.
Edit: I remembered their firstborn, Alex, ended up with hair color like his dad, Christopher.
@korset Looking forward to seeing how Pax grows up
@rubyskywalker I know real life triplets who don't have the same hair colour so I don't understand your concern about it not happening with sims.
A good mod to have is the Consort Hair Color Mod which makes copying hair colours between sims easy. It can also be used to create blends of the parents' hair colours, either random or at a percentage of your choice.
Looking forward to seeing your toddlers although I prefer seeing older sims to see how the genetics have been passed down.
My Keanu Reeves and River Phoenix sims have just aged up to YA and I can't wait to see their babies but it will have to wait until the boys finish university.
Keanu and River had a son, Rian. I didn't look at slider positions so I don't know about the face shape, but he has Keanu's eyes and nose and River's mouth.
I started the Legacy Challenge.(correctly, btw, with one sim on the 60x60 lot in Sunset Valley and his 'house' leaves something to be desired) My founder has brown hair and brown eyes and he has the hearts for a sim who also has brown hair and brown eyes. Should I change her genetics before they get married, if that happens?

I'm still trying to find out how this actually works. I had actually edited the founder of my current family relatively early in the playthrough, but for some reason, the game seems to consistently remember how he originally looked when it comes to the looks of offspring and descendants.
@HillyBeth Hair and eye colour randomly mutate so often that I see them as cosmetic details rather than part of sim genetics. If you don't like your sim's partner having the same hair/eye colour that's totally up to you.
@Turjan What did you edit? Changed genetics should pass on to the descendants if done before the babies are born. When you are a member and able to post pics I might better be able to understand what you mean. In Sims 3 genetics, sims inherit whole, not blended, features (e.g. eyes, nose, mouth, face shape) from their parents.
I need to post a pic of Nellie holding Willow. Willow's only a toddler but I could see already she looked like her mama. Alex and Quinn seem to resemble their father, Christopher. Can't wait for them to age up again... I have it set on longer lifespans so I can enjoy it more.
@Mikezumi Originally, that character was just a random roll in the character editor. I didn't expect to play it for a very long time. At some point, I changed the width of the head and a few other details. Regarding the mother, I adjusted two sliders slightly (plus hair and skin color, but that doesn't matter). The oldest son was a spitting image of my original character, and one of the daughters unfortunately also looked exactly the same. The other two children (son and daughter) looked like the mother. I used the NRAAS feature "play with genetics" to get more of a blend, without changing the overall features too much, just that the first two look a bit more similar to the father and the second set like the mother. I installed "Into the Future" a couple of days ago, and lo and behold, I'm looking into the face of my original character again. It's rather persistent.
Anyway, without pics, it's kind of hard to explain.
@Turjan Clones are not uncommon, unfortunately, although I don't seem to get as many now I have tweaked some settings. Sometimes I think I have a clone but when I check the slider positions will find that they are actually blended but in a small way like having the head shape of one and all the other features from the other.
I have no experience with Into the Future because I haven't installed it yet. Are you saying that the genetics of his descendants in the future are like your sim before you changed him?
