Basically any time I have Beau in a saved game, I end up giving him a makeover. This time, I really like this hair on him but the shaved bit was taking the base color (which is Beau's red) instead of the root color (black). I wanted the shaved part to be black, so I decided to just take the red out of his hair completely. I've never done that before...but, ya know, I don't hate it.
@Satanu_Reeves I often use a sim from my bin or from one of the EA worlds as a base when I want to make a sim based on a celebrity. I look for a sim with the right "bones" and work from there.
When I was recently asked to make a Jerry O'Connell sim I knew that I had seen a face that would be the perfect base for him. When I got Roaring Heights I gave a few sims makeovers and Grumpo Marks made the perfect base for Jerry.
Grumpo Marks
Jerry O'Connell Although he is very different to Grumpo there was something there that I knew I could work with.
I have Monte Vista too and have also never been there. I can't tell if the sims are good looking or not from the wiki because they are all wearing sunglasses
This is Sneako, the eldest of the Marks brothers.
I aged him down and took off his glasses. I need to download some CC glasses because, although I like glasses, none of the EA ones are to my taste.
Quick look as female
After makeover. Because the brothers look very much alike, I moved his eyes a little closer than the others.
Final version as female
Sneako in-game
Mikezumi, would you consider uploading your made-over townies?? They are gorgeous and I would love to play with them.
Wow, and am loving Monty and Bella's makeover and rest of sunset valley lol though am laughing at Malcolm and his mother father looking at in sims4 like what the heck happened to them. and I agree cause I gave Bella the makeover and she aged up I hard time making way supposed to look. O.e why EA! xD. I don't have a picture anyone yet too lazy I think am willing to see what I can do.
I really want a starting save for SV with genetically viable sims so, once again, I am going to attempt to makeover SV townies. I had a few sim files of my last attempt and will be showing them first since they are already done. I did change the hair/clothes of the ones I did manage to do but, going forward, will only bother with genetics.
Anyone who knows my sim style, knows that I always gender switch to see if the genetics will work for children of the opposite gender. I will try to keep the hair consistent for the gender switched versions because hair can change the appearance quite a lot. The hairstyles for the gender switched versions will be whatever CAS throws at me unless it is one that covers too much of the face.
I started a fresh save with Christopher Steel because he was one of the sims I had done earlier.
I couldn't for the life of me remember what eyebrows Chris' female version had in the first gender switch so they don't match but I will try to do better from now on.
Stiles McGraw was another sim I had already done.
I must have changed Stiles skin because he doesn't look quite so pale in his new version.
It's funny how even subtle changes can make sims look quite different, like changing eye sizes or distances. Even simple eye brow switches change a lot, which is probably the reason why Maxis thought they would get away with the clones.
This reminded me how after I redo Twinbrook town I should makeover some sims... I spotted one or two in desperate need of new looks.
I just have to do the museum (thinking making it a Museum of Art & History, with skill rooms to practice arts), finish the new restaurant (I'll give one hint: it's a pretty "wild" place ), add a couple new things to the rec center, replace all the ugly orange gender bathroom doors with new ones, rebuild the hospital for rps, and the town hall/ police station / Military base. And then fit a chocolate shop / bakery AND a wedding shop in there. And a church, with a funeral place. I'm gonna be taking a week!
Here's two more I did last time I started making over SV.
Leighton Sekemoto
Thornton Wolff
There are only a few more that were leftover from my last attempt to makeover SV: Gunther, Cornelia and Mortimer. I will need to age down Morty next time I load the save because I aged him up for another save.
I managed to pull my nose out of my book long enough to do Xander Clavell today I am not bothering with his parents because they are elders and won't be adding to the gene pool.
@Turjan These are definitely not the worst that SV has to offer but, even so, I have done considerable work on them to make them what I would consider genetically viable. I don't necessarily want them to be beautiful but I don't want any surprises when they have children of the opposite gender Here's Cornelia Goth aged down and gender switched before my makeover to show you what I mean
I already noticed that the faces I produced from Gunther and Cornelia to transform some puddings left a lot to be desired, and it wasn't Gunther's fault.

I sometimes use Xander Clavell's parents (and beyond) to get some faces on the clone army, but of course they don't need a makeover for that.
All these are cases with an already good starting point so far. Some townies have some real surprises in store when it comes to the profile view.
