If it's a tropical pack for our sims to live in, I hope there is no hotel stuff taking up lot space. Hotel stuff could be a GP or even a SP and we could build them anywhere, in any world, even the new tropical world. If hotel stuff doesn't come in this pack, that leaves more room for beach stuff. I also don't know why players think pool stuff should come in a beach pack. Pool stuff could be a GP or SP too.
I think what's keeping the rumor going is: A) There's been no official de-bunking of the rumor, which I would really hope they'd do if it's an attempt to steal people's money with a completely made-up pack.
And B ) We were told we'd get three new packs in the next six months about a month and a half ago. Strangerville came out in February. You can't blame people for being at least cautiously optimistic this is legit. I know I am.

Retailers put up things all the time, doesn't mean they're true. Still waiting for that Sims 4 Premium Service then too by this logic from 2014.

With a little Googling, it seems that they just edited the promo image of a mod:
Race Against the Clock: Can your elder sim turn back the clock before their time runs out?
And the release date is some kind of a default placeholder release date
