    Funeral Mod!!

    Uh just ran into this but if you follow SimsVIP then you already know, if not check it out! This looks really cool. Dangerous was my #1 and leave it to the wonderful modding community to give it to us anyway lol :-). Edit: Also, check out some of her other mods... prom, baby shower, etc. Pretty awesome, hope EA does some of these someday.

      No, not yet. I'm anxiously waiting for the chance to use the baby shower mod she does too.

      It will be interesting to see how the funerals work. I saw in the pics on tumblr that there is an open casket, and I'm curious to what is in it. Thinking of downloading the mod, but can't play until Friday.

      I was JUST thinking that I wished I had a funeral mod for my legacy story, I might have to re-play and screenshot a couple of scenes with this mod. Thanks for letting us know!

      Thank you for bringing this mod to my attention! I was extremely dissapointed when the dangerous stuff pack, which would include funerals, was outvoted by eco-living.

      I only want a mod that allows me to throw a funeral without new whims, interactions, items etc.

      There was already an option to "Throw a Funeral" in TS3, I think. Its was basically throwing a party though. I don't think anyone did a funeral mod for TS3 because we had graveyards.

      You need to have the black and white party in your game though as it changes that one.

      'Throw a Funeral' was definitely in Sims3. If people laugh, joke, share stories about the deceased and sometimes cry, that's what the gathering is for. The merry-making part is called a Wake and can be attributed to the Irish in RL. They celebrate a person's life. I had to leave my older brother's funeral because I couldn't stand the oppression of the mood. It was too sad for words. Somber. My new husband, our best man and I went to the brand new mall to check it out. As we walked along, a mother and daughter (friends of my parents and me) ran into us. The daughter blurted out, "What are you doing here?" her mother was quick to scold her, but I also was quick to say I just had to get out of there for a bit. I was 19 and the daughter was close to my age. My older brother was only 24 for one month and a day at the time of his decease. Yes, he was murdered.

      I'm not at all bothered by Sims making-merry at a funeral. Emotions are what they are. Grief, itself, is a roller-coaster ride. Nobody grieves the same way as another. I'm truly sorry this party isn't one included so far.

      Hey, I should add that my Sim's wedding turned into a funeral in Sims3! It was crazy-insane, she died just before the wedding began. :open_mouth:

      FYI Link is now broken to the Funeral mod. See closed tumblrs forum thread for possible link. I would totally love to see a Funeral Event (this would have gone well with Vampires) added in an upcoming patch.
      I have been playing The Sims since 2001, when Livin Large came out. My avatar deliberately looks like Chris Roomies from TS1.
