Sims 2 UC Error

Everytime I try to load up my game (Sims 2 UC), I get this error, which reads "The Sims 2 Mansion and Garden Stuff" at the top:
"The Sims 2 is not installed on this system, or some required files have been deleted. The expansion pack requires The Sims 2 in order to run. Pleases install The Sims 2 before attempting to run this application."
I installed Monday and have been playing all week without any issues except for crashes if I play too many hours at once. As far as I know, no files have moved since I installed. Does anyone know what could be wrong?? Thanks a bunch!!

Either way, try repairing the game in Origin.
