I just wanted to say a quick thank you to everyone who shared stuff in this thread, and a thanks to Azn for creating and maintaining these. They are soooo wonderful for building up towns!
I wanted a share a residential lot in case anyone still needs some housing. NO CC except for Store content. I created a house for one of the 20x20 lots on Sulfer Springs road in Aurora Skies. This home has an open, contemporary feel & a view of the ocean. 3 BRs, 2 baths, open living/dining/kitchen plus a den, all on one level. 1 full, 1 bunk bed, 1 crib.
Built in Aurora Skies at 9 RockRidge Rd. Welcome to the Cuckoos Nest Farm where our feathered and furry babies run amuck! 3 BD 2 1/2 BTH, upgraded appliances, plumbing & electronics, playground, perfect herbs and veggies. Store items used from Aurora Skies Gold edition and the Country Livin set. Enjoy!
Hi AznSensei! Thank you for keeping these threads up to date! Could it be that you missed my sim on your last update? He's over here on page 12. I know most creations posted here are lots, so that might be the reason as well, just thought I'd ask.

Thank you for that! And no worries, I expect keeping all these threads up to date must be a lot of work! Can't tell you how many times I've browsed through them both for inspiration and to fill my worlds with lovely lots. You're doing an awesome job here! 8)
Hey I'm pretty new to posting on these forums, but today is my day for uploading a bunch of lots and posting and for saying THANK YOU to this community of awesome people for sharing all of your creativity and kindness. I only started playing the Sims this winter and Aurora Skies is really the first world I really got into, so I'm posting a few lots here and maybe others will enjoy them too as I have enjoyed downloading lots from all of you

The Borealis Modern Art Center replaces the Art Museum in Aurora Skies. It is a very modern building, raw concrete walls and structural steel, lots of windows and natural light because the landscape Aurora Skies is art work in and of itself. There are a few rooms with paintings and sculptures, an outdoor and upper balcony sculpture garden, but mostly it is ready for your Sims to fill up with their creations. To that end there are three art studios for them to paint and draft in. There is also a cafe on the top floor (a food register) where your Sims can eat and look out over the park, with the waterfalls visible.

The Icelandic Modern House is inspired by photos of contemporary icelandic architecture. Windows are along both lengths of the house, the front having an interior corridor to give some privacy to the back of the house. Built of a flat lot with no landscaping, it was designed to be placed out in the country, maybe on a 30x30 lot placed by you on a patch of landscape that is very beautiful. Nooks within the house become picture windows. My architect Sim sits at his drafting table looking at the ocean, and then later chats online while he looks out at forests and waterfalls. The basement is a nectar cellar with martial arts gear, but you could easily remove the basement and spiral staircase and free up more room in this relatively small house.

Another modern house -- this one for in-town, again inspired by contemporary architects. I built it on Adam Birch's homesite 20x30 but it works well on the 30x30 space on the main drag… has views of the waterfalls then. This is pretty sparse inside with concrete walls, contrasts of industrial with fine modern and classic art. This is a home for a family with two teenagers and artsy parents, with an art studio in the basement. The backyard has a sauna, hot tub, and plunge pool. These are pretty intellectual, health-conscious sims who life here, maybe a bit snobbish. This house could be refurnished to work well for a couple, a rich single sim, or for two roommates as well.

And finally the Bjornsdottir Children's Home is a home I created out of necessity when several of my favorite sim families found themselves a little overly-blessed with kids (and I can't just delete them! no way. they are all unique) So I made this Childrens home for them in town and moved in one of my nurturing sims, Hanna Bjornsdottir, also available here: http://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=7397529
She has enough funds to purchase the property.
I have been considering Aurora Skies for sometime, but heard many complaints, but after seeing this site I love what I see.
I have noticed that some people made some homes and community lots with colored roofs.
How do you color the roofs?
Also is there any lag in Aurora Skies.
Need a side of granola crunch with your adrenaline rush? Visit Rowan Park! A thrilling roller coaster is nestled inside this nature preserve, complete with a dining pavilion for grilling tofu dogs, a raised platform for staging your interpretive dance recital, and a BPA-free playground for the kiddos. Built for 36 Sulfur Springs Road in Aurora Skies. No CC or CAP, minimal CASt. Please do not reupload, and don't forget to recommend!
Well, it's been a while, but this thread is still relevant. Plus, I finally got around to buying a copy of Aurora Skies.
So, for my first build, I've got a Shopping Mall to replace the ludicrously huge museum. Currently, it has Food Court, Arcade, Laundromat, Consignment Store, Salon, Tattoo Parlor, Bot Store and Pet Shop. Because those are the expansions I currently have. There are 3 more stores available to add a Supernatural Consignment, University Comic Shop, and maybe even a Bakery. Plenty of room on the mezzanines for a coffee bar and more arcade games or pool tables.
On a semi-related note, it's been a long time since I've used any EA built houses for my sims. And going through all the houses in Aurora Skies I now remember why. Those things are horrible! Poorly laid out, rooms either too big or too small, etc. I'm going to have to rebuild at least of couple of them so while I'm using Story Progression, the townies will have enough beds and things for more than 1 or 2 sims per family.
Well, after a slight hiatus, my Aurora Skies project is back on!
Here's the next venue. An improved version of the gym with an aerobics studio, rock climbing wall, sauna, massage table, and hot tub. No pictures this time though.
Hi all, if anyone is interested, a version of Aurora Skies with the snow & routing issues fixed is located here. You will need the original version of Aurora Skies to apply the fix.

20x25 Laundromat for Aurora Skies. A laundromat with a coffee bar, tables for the bistro oven, and a playroom/reading room while your sims wait. Interior was inspired by the Laundromat Cafe in Reykjavik, the exterior colors match the home it replaces to keep the look of the town. No 3rd party CC or CaP.
This is a 20x30 pet shop I built for Aurora Skies with an upstairs cat café. I used the same purple as the house it replaced at 59 Velkominn Rd. No CC or CaP.

I haven't had any lag in AS yet, but haven't played a very long game there yet.

I'm going through and rebuilding a bunch of the lots anyway, so it's not really a big deal.
Huh, looks like all the AS store items are gone, like mailboxes, and lighting fixtures, etc.
