I believe a personal skating rink is an option in Sims 4. But, regarding the point about falling down a lot, I think there needs to be a Skating skill, which goes back to my idea about breaking up Fitness.
Skate park would be dope or having something like that but with what we have with iceskating would be so cool. it can be used by all ages i suppose but there would be probably alot of teens or children trying to be cool or have groups that are alway constantly hanging out there because "they own the place" would be realistic. Casino's where the sim can become potentially homeless and lose all their money. Mini golf is cute for date ideas too (maybe potentially a perfect date pack o_0)
The skating skill is hidden. Your sim needs to continue to skate to improve their skill and be a better skater as you do with any skill. Your sim doesn't start off at the top.

yes I think a body of water to swim in could be a venue I also want a sims 4 castaway pack
