Do you have a Facebook account, important message

I got a message from my anti-virus service. They were informing me that Facebook left everyone's password open for any employee of Facebook to see. They strongly recommended people to change their password to their Facebook account. They said Facebook is supposed to send out an e-mail to inform people of this, but I have not heard a word from Facebook. I just wanted to pass this message to everyone here.

I feel like this is fake panic mongering. Most sites these days store passwords in an encrypted format, which is why when you ask to recover your password, they ask you to make a new one rather than tell you your current password. No employee would be able to check your password. And even if they could, changing your password would be meaningless because they'd be able to peek again.

Edit: Never mind, I actually saw a report that millions of passwords on Instagram and FB were stolen. And that Facebook clarified they weren't exposed externally
