While I played the Sims 3 very briefly before the Sims 4 came out and before my laptop yelled at me for trying to have too many packs installed, I never got to play a university pack. This idea is definitely very appealing and I would love to have the chance to play through this concept on the Sims 4. Any other opinions?

No, we have enough university gameplay in previous Sims games.

I am an Occult player first and foremost, and I need my Witches and Werewolves! Those are top priority for me.
I am also more interested in a Farming EP than Uni. I'd take a casino GP over Uni as well.
On my blog (German) you'll find two completed vampire stories 🦇 and an ongoing ghost story 👻.
I'm also posting about my I'm surrounded by idi🤪ts! - challenge, in which I've now reached gen 9.
Thanks for stopping by! 👋

Lots of other things I'd rather see first.
From TS2, I liked that you could have roommates in your accomodation. It is hard to recall since it has been a long time, but I think that you could choose to live what I understand in America are called dorms; these were either cheaper or free. You could have a household of roommates that might live in a house as well. What I forgot to mention about the dorms is that those roommates were NPCs. I think TS2 had really good gameplay in this pack. You could switch 'majors' until your final year. I remember you had a lot of freedom and choice in what you could choose. I liked how there things you had to do like, go to class, study, write papers, and then take a major exam before moving to the next year. I think there was something you had to do that was specific to the major, for instance, you would have to skill up your creativity in an art major. I have to say it has been a long time, so I might not be perfecty correct, but I loved this pack.
The Sims 3 university had a great campus. It's funny that I remember less about this than TS2. I recall enjoying the frat/sorority socials. The graduation was cool until the lagging made it infuriating; you could invite family and friends to attend. I think I enjoyed TS2 uni more for its gameplay.
For The Sims 4, I would sincerely hope they do something similar to TS2 in relation to student life gameplay. Having to read and study is a big part of uni (being a graduate, I think I can say this with some measure of authority), so I hope they work on this. Additionally, making student social life out of the classroom unique to young adult sims would be fabulous. I remember TS3 having kegs and juice ping pong was fun.
I would like to see a University EP, but I'd like to see the team bring something new to the table. I don't want to see what has been done over and over...I dunno - sometimes I feel the community wants new 'old' content, i.e. stuff that been released previously.
If a University EP was released with stuff we haven't seen before, great! If it's the same ol' stuff..maybe not.

There are several packs I would want before University (the farming stuff, moar supernaturals dear lord PLEASE, maybe a whole expansion of sci-fi weirdness riffing off Strangerville, etc), but admittedly University could make me very excited depending on how they do it.
Like, what new jobs they add with it. Education is a given but I would die of happiness if they had a media career (tv/radio), a actual rockstar career (form your own college band!!!), or just something new and different.
But basically I’m just waiting impatiently for a supernatural pack with supernatural career options and just a HEAVY dose of quirkiness in a EP rather than a smaller game pack. I need it desperately.
I've also been thinking about this. I just realized the other day, reading another thread, that if the entire household doesn't go on vacay, those left behind will still age. WHAT?! I thought that aspect was the same as previous iterations, but I was wrong (I've never left anyone behind).
I've always had a problem with the fact that if you stay late at work, any Sims left on the lot or come home in the meantime do nothing productive. I create a family "club" and use Rally the Troops to compensate. I cringe every time I read the suggestion of opening up the schools in this iteration. I certainly do not want to see another pack that makes us choose which Sims to play and forces us to ignore the others (especially for as long of a period of time that a year at college or even a semester would be).
Dude, BIG MOOD.
