I just read today though Firemonkeys are getting a big lay off. The article said about 50 would be laid off. That is sad seeing they are doing some real good work. That's 50 really talented people and about a quarter of their people. Last I knew they had 200 on that team.
Well, I hope a well-managed studio takes all that talent in. I'm sure there are a lot of game projects out there that are in need. I hope it's something I might be interested in

Oh, I didn't know Freeplay was still around. Never knew that it had cars. Fascinating. I think it's still on my old iPad 2... where I stopped playing it in 2016 because I could either pay real $$$ or wait 36 real time hours to do something.
FireMonkey has recently been dissolved and those workers laid off or moved. Free Play has now been moved over to be handled by the Sims Mobile team.

While this thread concerns something in Freeplay considering that you're discussing it from the standpoint of speculating if a feature will be added to Sims 4 I'm going to leave this thread where it is for now.
@Cinebar this article suggests that the Australian studio (even after layoffs) is still around and has absorbed the Sims Mobile that was developed in the US until now.
I would love these too ! And the swimming pool items they have. I see a round kitchen sink too. Why do they have so many cool items we don't have ? (the price though !!!!!)
Do you think they have changed things so that it would be easier to exchange concept art ideas, objects and other ideas with Sims 4? I'd love that deep freezer and other objects in my PC game.
Hm... I do not have much use for cars but I would really like to be able to play a car mechanic. I need that career and werewolves so that I can get my Mercedes Thompson-PT going
I just finished that quest a week or so ago. Lot of cool garage items and accessories I'd love to see in Sims 4.
the cost of some of those freeplay items tho
One of the first games I played was The Sims Freeplay. I love it when we don't have a computer to play the PC version, but once we got a Laptop that cpuld handle the sims, I deleted that app entirely. It was too grindy, and dosen't feel that you are playing the game. After playing the aPC version, (TS3 and TS4), I realized that TSF is a waiting app, rather than an actual game.
I do hope that Sims 4 can have cars. Can it completely change the game? I say no, but It gives detail to our sims lives thst can make us immersed in their worlds, and small details like that matters, especially
in The Sims.

You should know "talent" doesn't rule the world. Just "money" do it.
