My Global Superstar has three, so far, none of them awarded at the Starlight Accolades, but hey, a trophy is a trophy! He's got two, one silver and one gold for a successful couple of Fan Meet & Greets and then just got an award for his very successful Charity Event. These I pulled out of the family inventory to place on the mantel of his bedroom fireplace (he lives in an ancient castle). My huge problem is this: How can he take these hard-earned awards with him when he moves out? True enough, I haven't yet tried to place them into his personal inventory, but if I can't, is there a way for him to 'replace' them? I thought about dragging them into a trunk, but you can't take those with your Sim when you move them into another lot, either. Why we can't just place things into a personal inventory is beyond me. EA, do you mind patching that ability in? Pretty please. It would make things so much easier. In the meantime, is there a work-around?
Please, and thank you, in advance.

I do hope so. Or at least an interaction where the host; bride or groom can call for people to take a seat so the ceremony can begin. Whatever it takes, I do hope so.
Did you draw your avatar? It's very good.

If you click on the object in the build mode, the bottom part of the screen gives you three options: Move it to household inventory, sell it, or put it back where you took it. Household inventory transfers with the household when they move.
That's all well and good, but I'm not moving the ENTIRE household, or yes, that does work. First off, the award goes into the Family Inventory automatically. It should go into the Sim's personal inventory that earned it, in my mind, as that would solve the problem. My singer Global Superstar is currently living with his younger sister and her family. He's engaged (again) to be married and having his own mansion built. Once the wedding takes place, the newlyweds will move into their brand new home. That's the heart of my problem. I can purchase his video and music apparatus and his Karaoke machine, etc., and place those into the new home. However, those trophies are in the Family Inventory. And while it is possible to move them from that storage into the game lot, he can't place them into his own inventory. I've tried.
The clock isn't an award, but necessary after those late nights when he simply must be somewhere. LOL (And, yes, he'll likely earn other awards, but the silver award was the second award, when the game said he'd had a Gold Star Event. Face/palm.
Are they possibly in buy debug? If so, can someone walk me through how to access debug, pretty please? This would brighten my day …
http://www.getfreeebooks.com/star-trek-original-series-fan-fiction-trilogy/
as for the walkthrough for buydebug, it's pretty easy. i'll have it below, in spoilers. and will cover the basics just in case someone reading hasn't accessed the cheat menu at all before
that will unlock all the hidden and debug objects in the game, including various collectibles, cooking items (dirty dishes, half-cooked dishes, and more) and items used in pretty much every animation that includes an item at all. you'll also be able to find the awards here
if you then go to the lower left corner and highlight the chair symbol ('objects by function') you can then type accolade in the search bar. three items will show up, as seen here:
clicking any of those will take you to that individual accolade, the others should be visible near it too.
for this screenshot, i picked 'starlight accolade' and the gold version of it is highlighted below. you can see that it comes in three color swatches, which can be picked as individual objects here. the row above it you can see the fan meet and greet accolades, too
an aspect that many people miss in this sort is on the far right: the filter items tab, which i now show just above the tombstone you see in the upper right in the above picture:
when you go into that, you can get similar options to those you'll see when sorting clothing options in cas:
feel free to check out the various style options some time on your own. they can really help with all kinds of various builds, if you want to focus on some standard preset themes
for now, though, we want to go to the 'packs' section and make sure to select just 'get famous':
with that done, you'll see everything listed in the sort now is just from that pack, including the various awards, debug items and such. since this specific time we had clicked on the starlight accolade, it had taken us to just view all the items in the 'statues' section of decorations. because of this, we just see everything from get famous in the statues section, including every single award in all their color swatches:
drama club awards cost 0 simoleons, the other options are either $100 or $250, depending. so easily managable on any budget. here i've bought all three color options for the starlight accolades and put them on the dining table:
there you go. probably more detailed walkthrough than needed. but enjoy
I haven't checked on any mods lately so I don't know if it's up to date, but it's a pretty simple object mod really and it lasted through several patches when I was playing with it before. I'll try to track it down when I have a minute, since of course I can't remember who made it off the top of my head. You might be able to find it just by googling tho.

Thank you so much! That was a great walkthrough and I can't wait to give it a whirl.

Thank you. Let me know if you find it. Then I can find out if it plays 'nice' with MCCC; Concert Job Event; and Road to Fame_Professional Singing Career, which I'm currently using all three.

Just thought I'd report back that A) you do have to type in testingcheats true, first and B ) thanks to your guidance, my Sim got his trophies back. However, again, something has gone awry with my game. He lost all of his music. We're talking the fella has published 51 songs! I have gone back to an earlier save and thankfully, all is as it was. Yay. At least now I know I can retrieve his awards once he moves.

At least yours has been nominated. I'm still waiting for recognition. LOL I would presume you need to take your Sim to the Starlight Accolade. Generally held on a Sunday, starts at 6:00 pm.

I'm sitting here wondering if in order for his music to be recognized, he has to be actively employed in the Entertainment Career, Music Tract? I tried to look, but his sister was still wearing the modest strand of pearls she came in with. Since I just split this household earlier today, I now have to go back to her household to check the family inventory just to see what this award was. (I presume it went straight into her family inventory. She didn't go up onto the stage to receive anything.)
@Kita5399 Congrats on your Sims' accomplishment. I look forward to that day as eagerly as I did when he got his sidewalk frame!

if a sim wins a starlight accolade while they are not the current actively played household, the award does not appear in their household inventory. it's just like when an unplayed sim buys items at a retail store, those items will not appear in the sim's household inventory. if you want her to have that accolade, you'll have to cheat it in the way you did when you split the household (i've done the same when unplayed venessa won another award when i sent another sim to the accolades)
also, as for the 'to be worn on the neck' aspect, you're taking it too literally. sims can't actually do that, it's just a thing, likely referencing hiphop artists and such wearing giant medallions and chains at times
Right, at least take a seat when it starts. I did not draw my avatar myself but I love visual art!!
I did try that. Mostly, it malfunctioned. I was able to grab the Charity Event Trophy, but not the other two. Face/palm. Once he got to his new place I had to unpack the crate and place that item back into the family inventory in order to place it on the mantle. EA, why so many steps? This is crazy-insane. Not to mention irritating. I play my game to relax, this is not helpful toward that end. Just sayin'.
Also, I did notice funky things going on with my Sims with the Packing Crate mod in place. Once I made the move and secured the one trophy, I did the buy debug to replace the other two (and they are now both Gold, as he won them) and then after I finished my gaming session yesterday, removed the packing crate mod. I don't expect to ever use it again, sadly. It was a nice idea, but it couldn't recognize the Meet & Greet trophies worth a nutshell taken from a squirrel. It does claim to to updated, too. It just doesn't work as desired. But I do thank you that suggestion, and it did save one of his original awards, at least. It was worth it in the long run. Many thanks.

My Families Via PlumTree App
A good work around is to add all guests to a group and direct them to "sit here together." I had to do this recently for a sim wedding at San Myshuno Medows. But it is an annoying issue that needs to be fixed sooner rather than later.
Go to Del Sol Valley, the Starlight Accolades takes place at Studio PBP.

Is this it? So I remember Sunday at 7 (or before) to go to the Studio PBP - do I get a reminder? I'm excited.
Best of luck to both you and your Sim. I would check the calendar for the correct time, though. Seems to me the Awards usually begin at 6 PM. But I'm stoked for you. That's great! My Sim has yet to be nominated, so I don't know if you'll get a reminder or not. You may wish to write yourself a note, so you don't get so involved in your gameplay, you forget to send your Sim for her possible Big Night.
