I don't think the EA houses themselves structurally are nightmares, though some are unpleasant, but the decor... OH sweet simlords ... WHY are they so obsessed with decorating in poo brown, greeny brown the colour of split pea baby food, and tan ?? It's horrendous!
Indeed! I’ve always suspected that was because they thought we’d all love to attack it with CASt constantly (same goes for premade’s clothes). “Hey, we gave you this revolutionary tool, now use it”. Not how it works, well, not for me. I use CASt alright, if there’s one CASt addict it’s me, but not to go around town first changing premade houses.
ETA: yup, what @Sindocat says. It’s seventies at its worst by the way, it doesn’t even have vintage charm
I grew up in the 70's. It wasn't any more charming then, than it is now.
Okay, i'll admit it, even though in some cases more expensive i can't live without a combo.
1. saves space in that ever so tiny bathroom (sims on a budget )
2. can be cheaper than a nice tub+shower
3. I love to put bubble bath soap, little duckies and candles in my bathroom, so the space is needed. Isn't it so cute to see the kids use that yellow duck in the bath?/
An average simmer wasting her life away
--just kidding, will find a photo of my fave sim soon--

Plus gets 2 sims ready for work faster than taking separate showers or baths and they start off the day in a good mood.
@TroyTalks I love it!
I also love your siggy gif because I don't Instagram either.
@cwaddell I love your romantic new Avatar pic.
Thank you. It's from my new game.
