Except that not all packs are created equal. We actually have $120 worth of packs this year, more than both 2016 and 2017.
Also @LeGardePourpre 's table is a mess for those of us on mobile.

Only 9 or 10 packs ? But the surveys proposed 21 themes and SimGuruGrant began to think about Farm theme.
With the makeup chair in Get Famous, it might be possible to create your own beauty salon if you have the GTW retail system -- we'll have to see what sort of capabilities it has outside the movie studio. Or at the very least you could add it to a clothing shop perhaps. And some of the themes in that quoted box could be game packs or even stuff packs -- I could see a Casino Stuff Pack similar to Bowling Night where you can build a casino using an existing venue type like bar/nightlub/lounge, with slot machines and gaming tables (maybe with robotic dealers similar to the Sims 3 Store items).

"Years of content left" sure sounds amazing, until the reality of the no-pack-content quarter hits. Hmm, perhaps now that they get to double -- and perhaps even triple dip -- with the platforms of mobile and console perhaps the impetus for new content has been displaced by porting content for sale on other platforms.
Since they have the some people doing the voice acting now I feel it won't be too long till we get an announcement of the next pack. Sims Community says a pack generally comes out 2 to 3 months after voice acting is announced.
