  Gee, when I first began playing GF, I had my game save on two different computers. On my laptop, I didn't yet know about Sacrificial's latest Road to Fame_Professional Singing Career mod, so once he got to his third star I had him choose acting as his career. He managed to get the gig after the audition (but then again in high school he was in the Drama Club). Mind you, this was my up and coming Rock Star, so he had shoulder-length hair. What did that makeup artist do? Cut it! Not only that but she died his flaxen locks brown. I have to say, I haven't played that version of my save, since. But, that was a few weeks ago. It could be once again something was broken in a patch that was meant to 'fix' things.

  I have the same bug. Have only been to 2 gigs, but both times makeup needed several goes, while costume worked fine. One gig took 5 or 6 tries until it was correct, some of those times the makeup artist only did the face and stopped before starting the hair.
  
  I just pretend that the makeup artist is stressed or ill etc, and that she might break down if someone complains...
