hello to all ea_moderators of the foruma lot of old threads are being necroposted back to page one when it would be much easier to start a new thread of the same subject but more of a recent year threads that where necroposted and reported. Thank you for looking into this @EA_Lanna @EA_Mage or @EA_Cian

{EA_Lanna: removed reference and links to specific content flagged for moderation. Please use the report function}

    The 1st thread is still okay to post in since the members was posting from the time it was started until the end of 2018. It's the threads that haven't been posted in for about 2 years or more that they're more worried about being necroed even though there have been threads that wasn't 2 years old still being locked.

    How old is 'too old'? There’s no hard timeframe to put down because ‘old’ is a relative term that is entirely dependant on the type of thread/discussion/issue. It's always a good idea to look at the timestamps to see if it's an active discussion before you post in there to avoid needlessly necroing threads. Like, if the conversation has naturally concluded or if there's nothing new to add to the thread - then bumping an inactive thread to simply say "cool" would be a necropost.

    We will review these but more often than not Idea Corner discussions would be part of the content that would not necessarily be subject to the necroposting rule. Ideas are rarely dated and many will still be relevant ideas 3/4 years on for example but thank you for flagging them.

    I would once more stress using the report button for any content that requires Moderation. As well intentioned as you may be, it is extremely unfair to forum members to have their content publiclly flagged and discussed as being wrongful, especially if it turns out not to be breaking the rules. This is why we ask folks to please utilize the flag button instead of using our walls, making threads to flag it or calling out members in posts and tagging us to action it.

    Closing thread and removing links to flagged content in thread.
