What's your favorite season in the game?

«13
I recently got myself a new laptop that can play the sims to full specs, and I find myself enjoying each season much more than ever before. I'm also finding myself taking pictures of the seasons like crazy which led me to wondering, what seasons do you all prefer playing in?

Right now I'm in winter and I am very much enjoying the lovely scenes it has brought to my game :)

So right now, I have to say winter is my favorite but when spring is coming in my game I'll probably say that that season is my favorite instead. :D

    Autumn. I just love the dazzling colours.
    I do like winter too, when everything is iced over. This is one of my favourite Twinbrook winter pics

    Agreed, I really love how the worlds in Sims 3 look when it’s Autumn. The trees having their amber warm brown colors and the falling leaves really contribute a cozy feeling to the game :)

    Right now I am living in permanent summer as my puter just can't handle seasons. I really do miss the way the worlds change with the seasons though. I love winter the best I think with how beautiful the worlds look covered in snow. I do miss that and all the fun activities that came with Seasons.

    Summer is one of the prettiest seasons in the game I think :)

    I have what seems like a permanant summer in Deery Meadows because of the drought they're having now and it's the spring of 1624 with summer just starting there.Evermore Falls is also getting a drought starting up which means winter will be warmer than usual and mostly sunny.

    I don't think my laptop could handle Seasons. I own all the EPs (on disc) but have several I have yet to install/try. I do love seeing the beautiful pics of other simmers on the forum and look forward to one day being able to see Seasons in my own game one day.

    I'd have to say "Winter".

    Winter! :mrgreen:

    Not only is it a beautiful season to me in real life, but it definitely shines in the Sims well. <3

    Fall is second. :)

    @Amphora Ahhh what are your laptop specs? I'm currently searching for a new laptop and your screenshots are always beautiful!
    My favourite season is probably summer (I know borinnng) but as someone who lives in a country that hardly experiences summer, I love seeing my sims around the pool and swimming in the sea.

    Fall time, I don't take as nice photos as everyone else, I have my graphics almost set to max, it lags the heck out and my laptop runs out of memory, even though I have 16gb on it.XD
    What is your laptop specs? I'm playing on a Nitro 5.Could be because I have a lot of CC in my game.XD

    Interesting! Never set up a storyline like that in my game. You’ll get to enjoy the prettiness of summer for quite a while then :P

    My other lappy couldn’t handle them well either. I had all the weather types turned off and the only Seasons allowed were summer and sometimes spring. Worth it to have a working game :)

    But summer is always pretty! Nice bright colors for you and your simmies to enjoy. Lol

    For me, Fall is my favorite IRL. I love the cool bite to the air and the pretty colors that come from the trees. Winter has so much prettiness in the Sims though that it’s definitely my favorite. Except it just turned spring in my game so that will probably become my favorite soon enough :p

    Nothing wrong with loving summer! It’s such a pretty season :)

    As for my laptop,this is the one I bought :)

    Ohhh I love those pics! You’ve already read my numerous sentiments on Fall. Lol! But gah, your pics look so lovely. Those amber trees bring such a cozy feeling to your game <3

    As for my laptop, it has a 16 gig ram size but it also has what’s called an Optane memory which is like a cache memory that loads commonly accessed files faster. I’m not even sure exactly how or why but all I know is that my game runs pretty well. Lol. It doesn’t come with an optical drive but I have a workaround for that.

    Until recently I would say my favourite season in the sims was summer. Then I took some pics of my CAW project in the snow and to be honest I liked the result very much. Please bear in mind this is a work in progress.

    @Bettyboop55 I love that mill by the river! Your world looks lovely. :)

    My favourite season is probably fall I think. But I guess it would all depend on the world and what activities my sims were doing.

    I find your world to be absolutely lovely! I know you say it’s just a work in progress but I think anyone who makes worlds in CAW has a lot of talent (and patience lol). I really love that mill by the river :)

    @becks1112
    I agree! Although since you’re a winter lover then you’re in the right place. This seems to be a Winter Loving Support Thread :P

    @Goulsquash
    Fall is definitely one of the prettiest seasons. I haven’t really fully explored all the different activities that each season brings which I think I must rectify soon :o:p

    @Springfairy556
    And you say that you don’t take pretty scenery type pics! :o
    You’re game looks so pretty!

    @Nikkei_Simmer
    Is that also Cape Garner? It’s so beautiful. I also really love when there is a heavy snowstorm in the game. It almost mirrors the feeling IRL when you’re warm and cozy in the house and it’s ice cold and snowy outside.

    Although I’m afraid I’m being fickle here because I think Spring is about to become my favorite season now that it has officially begun in my game :o:D

    They're all wonderful in their own ways. That said, when it rains nonstop for the 2nd half of summer and all of fall that gets a tad annoying. Still, even the bad weather is amazing in TS3. This comes from someone who in real life has concluded that spring is too plumb wet, summer is too plumb hot, raking leaves in the fall is plumb annoying, and winter is too plumb cold by far.

    I love them all! That being said, even though my computer was built to be able to handle very demanding games in terms of specs, I still play with certain features turned off because I get quite a bit of lag. It's not as bad as it was on my old laptop, but I like to try and avoid as much lag as possible. That being said, in real life, Autumn is my favorite season. I love the changing leaves and warm colors!

    Thank you for your very kind comments. Below is a pic of the water mill in summertime. I have yet to sort out the landscaping behind the mill. As I said until recently I thought summer my favourite season partly because one of my favourite worlds is Sunlit Tides.
