Gallery Build Name: A Snowy Christmas

Notes about entry: A small cozy winter home for a small family with twin boys. Since they decided that driving a car pollutes the enviroment, the Kjielbergs converted the garage in a hobby room. The father has his own fitness room above the garage, while the mother enjoys cooking family meals in their kitchen. The boys aren't to fond of cleaning up and so their room is quite messy.
This build kind of drove me crazy, since I wanted to use stuff I learned during the creation of Christmas Dreams about terrain tools and Kate Emerald's tutorial about connecting rooms with different foundation.
First thing I found out is that her connecting method doesn't work if connecting a ground floor to the first floor. So instead I used roofs to create the illusion of connecting the two rooms. But apparently the update with the new holiday objects changed something there. The roofs used disappeared
In the end I connected the two rooms with those stone decoration panels.
But basically now both rooms are outside and the light behaves like that too So I asume Sims will be cold in those two rooms.
Then I had a weird bug with my Sims being able to walk up the stairs to the house but not down again. Solved that by adding three stairs instead of a three tile long one.
But now to the pictures!

I am sorry that you had the issues with your build @crysk I am glad though that you were able to have a workaround for them.
Very nice exterior design of A Snowy Christmas! The white pretty Christmas lights and garlands on the roofing and windows looks very festively nice! Very nice terrain work! The snowman, reindeer and nutcracker in the front yard are cute! Very nice kitchen. The wooden texture of the kitchen cabinets and counters looks homely, and the hanging herbs, wall utensils, olive oil bottles and cookbooks are nice kitchen touches. It looks great how you have created the fridge nook. Very nice sunken dining area. The festive patterned dining table with the candles on it is nice for Sims to enjoy eating a meal at. The Christmas tree on the table in the corner is pretty for Sims to see when dining. The row of string of Christmas cards is a special touch. Very nice green colour scheme of the living room. The festive garlands, new patch wall pictures and wreath on the walls and windows look very nice, and the nutcrackers and reindeer look great there! The windows sofas sitting nook is very nice for Sims to enjoy having fun opening up their brightly coloured Christmas presents that are near the pretty Christmas tree! The festive fireplace will keep the room warm. The Christmas log, cards and mason jar items are nice touches on the fireplace ledge. The teddy is cute watching on! Very nice design and furnishing of the bedrooms! The boys bedroom does look a bit messy! It looks nice that a screen shade divides off a nook sitting area in the master bedroom.
The home is very nice for Christmas !
