I chose other because technically, I play both ways.
I'm the most indecisive person in the world (thanks anxiety) so some days I'll put my mods folder back in and go crazy with cc and mods, but then a day later I'm like "well, isn't it kind of fun to be vanilla? you can actually share your stuff on the gallery and it's a whole lot easier." Cause this is the thing, is that I'm all or nothing, so if I download CC I have to have alllll of the cc out there that I like, so I spend too much time downloading it. So playing vanilla calms me.
But even today i'm thinking, "maybe I should put them back in... it'll make your screenshots pretty! It'll make you more cool! (idk how I came to that conclusion...)
I'm a CC shopaholic, lol. Mostly for hair and makeup (especially if it's sparkly or shiny). And clothes. I was going to say I don't do a lot of build CC, but that'd be a lie. I need to get rid of some things. While I do use mods, it's not a ton. I try to keep mods to a minimum.
i don't think i'd even play the game at all if it weren't for mods and cc lmao. i'm heavily dependant on cc, not as crazy on mods but i do have a few to make the game more realistic
I play vanilla. In TS3 & before I did custom content, but in TS4 it just seems like such a hassle. I love some of the Mods and want to use them, but I also worry about downloading stuff that will break my game. Maybe it's because I have never tried but I worry about corrupting my game and not being able to recover it.
I like to keep it simple,
Some mods do interest me, but it's enough if I just watch a Let's Play another Simmer on Youtube does that uses them.
It also helps when it comes to reporting bugs or other issues, I guess. Easy to discount a conflict due to mods/cc if you don't actually have any!
Even if some mods would help act as a bandaid solution until an official patch got made. (side-eyes the celebrity walkstyle and react in disgust)

So yeah, TL;DR
I can't make up my plum mind
I've had as many as 250+ mods and as little as 100-ish. So I fluctuate back and forth between those numbers. My CC just keeps growing, though.
