Okay, I'd like some help. I have a sim I'd like to share, I'm gathering all the CC that he uses together into a folder so that no one needs to look for it themselves, but I'd also like to add his file so that no one needs to spend the time it took me to actually make him. I've been requested to share this sim several times and I just want to be as helpful as possible.
How do I find the file my specific sim is located in?

On a side note, I should add that most CC creators would frown upon their items being reuploaded and shared that way.

The tray importer tool is very helpful in gathering the files of creations in your library.

As Cupid said though, cc creators prefer that you instead provide links to their download sites for simmers to download the cc themselves. It also helps simmers to know which sites the cc comes from as patches can break cc or there may be updated versions of the cc released.

Sorry for the late reply, busy week.
That's actually what I'm trying to do, I've gathered most of all the mods I collected into a folder mainly so I can figure out where they came from. Since many of them don't tell me whom made them by their icons I'm hunting down the creators by file names alone most of the time.
Thanks for that link though that would have helped me narrow down all the files faster if I had it sooner. Maybe next time.
My poorly worded question was really how do I find the files that make the sim itself, not the cc that he uses. Though that's moot now since that link also helps me find those files.
Now all that's left is to hunt down the cc creators and make a download link list in order to use him.
Thank you for your help.

(edit) the files for your sim is in the Tray folder in the Sims 4.
My problem now is hunting down all the sources of cc I used to make this sim because I haven't exactly paid attention to where I got them all, and he uses a lot of cc.
Makes it very, very simple to track things down that way.
