Downloading Mods Help

don’t want to sound like I’m asking a really stupid question but how do you actually download mods properly and effectively?

I’ve been downloading script mods + content mods recently but I’ve just been unzipping them into my mods folder and they seeeem to be working? Though when I read online it tells me not to unzip?

basically I just want to make sure I’m downloading correctly:)

I would say if the mod is working all is well. There are some mods out there that don't require you unzip them. I don't know enough to say why that is. Perhaps, someone who is more tech savvy will come along and answer your query better.

just follow the instructions given for each mod.
There's only a few mods that do not require unzipping, like the mod to reset bathing outfit and no fatness/muscles. Usually, they're a type of script mod and are not common.
