    Sims 3 not recognizing AMD graphic card on Mac

    Hello,
    I am trying to make configurations regarding my graphic card, so that my Mac will use my AMD Radeon Pro 455 rather than the Intel one. However, when changing anything on the GraphicRules file, I start getting the exception raised error upon launch. Can someone please help me figure out what to configure in my files, especially the GraphicRules one. Thank you. c:

      Bluebellflora has put together a guide for editing TS3's .sgr files to force graphics card recognition, but your particular card isn't covered. Still, if you're interested in doing it yourself, you can read over her post and tweak the instructions accordingly:

      I'm not sure why you're getting the error, but the first thing I'd check is that you're using the correct quotation marks. The ones you use in everyday typing don't work correctly. If you're not sure, you can copy and paste them from other lines of code instead.

      @igazor Hey! I needed some help in this department, but I can't make new threads because I'm a new member, and even though I know you may not be the person to talk to, you're the only higher-up on this site I know of. So, I downloaded the .sgr files to make the Sims 3 recognize my graphics card, but now it won't. I redownloaded the .sgr files that included my graphics card and I opened the launcher again, but it's still not recognizing my card.

      @Studer5544 - Thanks for the recognition I guess, but I am just a regular member on this forum. :)

      This is for your Dell G3 with the GTX 1050Ti that we assisted with on a recent thread? From where exactly are you downloading sgr files? This thread is about stubborn to get recognized graphics card models on Macs, which do not come with that card.

      @igazor I ended up getting it fixed. I'm not 100% sure why it did that those few times, but it's working now.
