I'm pretty sure I will always use default skin and eyes, but I'm really trying to cut back on the hairs I have downloaded. There are some pretty hefty files that I almost never use.

Was there maxis match custom hair in Sims 3? I genuinely don't remember ever seeing any.
I use mostly maxis match, but some alpha makeup and clothes. Alpha is just a bit much for me. Like, with the hairs, they're supposed to be realistic as opposed to the cartoony maxis match, but a lot of alpha hairs are very over exaggerated and unrealistically thick and long, almost drag queen-wig-like. The people who make it are so talented, though. It's just not my style.
