How to put objects downtown use them (like beds, etc) and update error

there's this, specifically the "how to put objects downtown" section, but I'm quite clear on the instructions. Actually, does anyone downtown sell coffee you can drink for energy?

I download the transmogifier double clicked the file ONLY, now I am getting this message "It has come to our attention that you have installed another expansion pack after the complete collection, for this to work properly The Sims makin magic installer will now update your installation"

Then I get........an unknown occured aborting setup. So, as it stands I can't even open my sims complete collection game to play it, now.

I know I can uninstall the sims complete collection and re-install, but I've made progress in the game and don't want to lose it, also I'd have to re-install the mods I already have.

If you don't want to lose your data you can copy your userdata folder into a new location before reinstalling the game. However, I don't know how to fix the other things other than trying to delete the transmogifier.

I managed to figure out the transmogifier, but the second step here is what has me confused-

    https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/pc/526195-the-sims-hot-date/faqs/16100

    Specifically:

"Once you’re done with that, you need to open up The Sims Menu Editor. You can
download it at http://blueprint.simfreaks.com/. You need to open up the object
file that you cloned, which will most likely be in C:\Program Files\Maxis\The
Sims\Downloads\Transmogrified unless you put them somewhere different. When
it’s open, check the box called Allow to Visitors. Then other people will be
able to use the object that you want downtown. Click Apply when you're done."

I downloaded the menu editor and opened the object, but there is no option to check for "allow to visitors" at least not in that program, do I do it somewhere else? I found the program on another website, but maybe it's not the same, I can't find the one on simsfreaks.com he talks about.
