Some creators use different colours to identify their skins. For others you can see the name of the skin/creator in the bar where the colour slider is.
Haha wow I must be blind, thanks! It's right there in the bar duuuh me
look i've been playing with the skins & sliders (i used to just click randomize until i got a semi-decent hit)
his mouth and cheeks look weird so i'll probably play with the sliders some more later but wow what a difference some skin, eyes and using the sliders makes. he definitely doesn't look pudding
oh my god my sims have never felt so personal. ya i suck at the sliders but i'll keep playing. i can't believe the difference the skins make xD
don't mind her clothes, she's pregnant
before:
now i want more nondefault eyes and skins >.< and makeup, and eyelashes
And the first foot is on the slippery slope
Glad you got the skins to work and that you are happy with them
You should also keep practicing with sliders because no matter how good the skin it only goes so far.
Eyelashes are fun and really enhance the eyes. You should also hunt for eyebrows. One can never have too many eyebrows and they can make or break a face, in my opinion.
I know I have more but this is all I could identify from my packages folder at the moment. As requested, this list only includes blush, eyeliner and lipsticks
WOW thanks that's great and yeah i'm going into cas as i randomly come across a pudding and playing with the sliders. do you have any tips for using the sliders? right now i'm just randomly.. sliding the sliders
I usually have a person in mind when I make a sim. I start with the eyes and then work my way down the face. Once I have the features as I want them, I work on the various head sliders (cheeks, jaw, chin). I don't know how to tell you how to use the sliders other than to just try them all and use the undo button if the shape is not what you want.
It took me years to finally settle on what kind of skin & eye defaults I like. Have fun! Remember to keep things organized if you go too crazy downloading CC.
@McTosh I just made a quickie sim using only EA sliders to show you the difference that makeup and CC sliders can make.
Here is the sim with only EA sliders and no makeup
Here he is with makeup
Here's the same sim using some CC sliders, like nose bump, chin cleft, and other subtle changes to all features.
Here's a look at him in-game because CAS doesn't really give you a good idea of how a sim will look when you play them.
You're really good at them!!
I've been practicing. Mine look completely different now, can't believe i've always stuck with ea defaults all this time. hanging around this forum is bad for me look what you have done
and weird, i had a couple of new sims i made i pressed C in CAS and it make the photo sound but there's no screenshot in my folder? owell, anyway i made more to the town that look even morer different I'm adding one new sim or one new family (+1 house) each day before I play. i just use the default skin for those though (primer) only my immediate family get nondefaults
