I commented earlier... but I put more thought into the question.
I hear people talking about not buying a pack cause they don't like certain aspects of the pack ... ex: Vampires ... Implement the ability to buy the CAS and build/buy objects only ... so Buy The Expansion/Game Pack or just be able to buy the everything else ....more money more money
A simple Stuff pack with just jobs, skill objects, traits and aspirations .... I have played every job multiple times (need new jobs) ... some of the traits (why only cats or dogs... why not love pets equally) and I could go on ... I hate the big telescope and Microscope - the lots are too small to have such big objects - these need smaller counterparts
Finally ... I Love this game and will continue to play until the Grim Reaper takes me away ... but I will say again ... The DRAGONS in Makin Magic are the BEST pet!!!!
I was teaching when makin magic came out and I would tell my students every day what was happening in my sims game ... I told them a time when I went to work and my dragon burned down my house ... tragic ... but they loved the stories of my pet dragon ... there has not been a dragon that compared to the first one ... unless we can get one as big as a horse ... that would be tooooo fun
My list looks like this:
1. Faeries. I’d love to see what kind of abilities they’d have. Ideally they’d do something where at least one child in the adoption pool would be one, but it’d have to be obvious to the player so the supernatural haters could avoid them.
2. More rabbithole jobs. I’d love to see the teen part time jobs expanded to young adults through elders, with the possibility for them to make it full time and have a few more levels. I’d also like to see some more normal careers like handyman. Jobs that wouldn’t pay as well, but would also need fewer skills.
3. Better reading. I’m really tired of sims constantly putting books down even when they’re not done and their needs are good.
-Freed babies (also customisation like little baby rompers and hair or whatever) -Better Family trees or customisable family trees so its easier to change for story purposes or showing how somebody died or their relationship with that person) -Attraction/admiration your sims being attracted to blonde sims or sims that love sports etc and having admiration bars/ how much somebody looks up to another person which could affect character values (parenthood)
I might have to go with:
magic, spiral staircases/landings for stair cases and the ability to split level build.
Reading through some of these I realized that I think I've given up on a color wheel. But I might have to swap one of my answers with more color/texture options in buy/build mode. Specifically matching textures & colors in "themed sets".
Lol... now I don't know though:
Another supernatural life state would be nice, any farm stuff; items, game play or animals (although pets and seasons have sort of satisfied me enough for now), more counters and mid to high quality beds.
Laptop. How can we have a coffee/cafés without a lap?!
Werewolves. I want my vamp/were couple.
University. I have this perfect middle age lady just hankering for higher education
This is only a small top of what I would love to see. I'd also want to see modular stairs and/or circular stairs, an attraction system (as a lot of you have mentioned) would also be nice. Magic. More sci-fi oriented. More pets like snakes and lizards, bears (yes bears), crocodiles/aligators, chipmonks/squirrels... Zodiacs. The ability to have more traits, 1-2 more would be great as a three traits really doesn't sum up a personality, imho. There is more I am forgetting.
1. Laptops. It makes no sense why we don't have laptops in this game. It's 2018... where have all the laptops gone?! We're getting an oversized drawing tablet, but still don't have laptops. SMH
2. Lounging ability back. Laying out on a towel in the summer. Lounge chairs by the pool. Pool floaties to lounge on in the pool. Lay on a bed and read. I'd like the option to read with all of those options, too.
3. Kids playing together. Tossing a football, baseball. Playing hacky sack. Playing tag. PLEASE give me tag back!!! I want my kids to be able to do something other than talk!
If I got those 3 things back, I'd be over the moon.
I've found that one of Sims 4's strong points is its ability to incorporate and add flexible systems that give more control to the player. Things like clubs, Vampire strengths and weaknesses, character values, the Seasons calendar, and the new promise of the Reputation/Fame/Quirks system coming in the next pack, are all examples of what I'm referring to. Therefore, the bulk of my personal wishes include these types of gameplay mechanics because I just think they are complete game changers.
1. Sim Fears system and a Fear emotion. I'd like to be able to choose phobias, anxieties and horrors. I want my Sims to be afraid of Vampires and Aliens and future occults if I choose. Perhaps there could be incorporated a Universal Fears selection as well as individualized, so that players could choose some of those things that all of their Sims would be afraid of.
2. Sim Flaws system. I've been asking for more negative traits, but they come at such a slow pace that I think at this point I'd prefer a Flaws system that could work alongside Sim traits. I feel that the game already has so much focus on bright sides and happiness and rewards boosts that it has no shadow. For a game focused on realism, it seems to shy away from the honesty that people are flawed. And to me, it's the flaws that make people so interesting. So I'd really like to see this become implemented in the base game and retro-fitted to all existing packs, with more added in future packs. To be able to choose multiple flaws for each Sim would give the game a relatable edge and depth that I think all players would really appreciate.
3. Desires/attraction. This is for the romance area. I feel like when I play single Sims (and I play a LOT of single Sims) there is no real distinction between potential partners. Maybe I could have a Sim who is looking for someone who is soft spoken, dark-haired, and a good dancer. Or another who is searching for mischievous, well read, and hard-to-get. It would be so much fun if we could choose personal preferences ranging from physical appearance, to traits, to skills, to Occult type, to gender preference, etc. much like Sims 2 allowed us to do. Our Sims could enter a room and "check for potential partner", and any of the physical appearance attractions that we chose would stand out to our Sim. Then they could chat with those people to determine if they possess any more desirable characteristics and get a sense of behaviors to determine who is the best match. It would make playing a single Sim SO much more fun, and once they settle down with the right one, it adds to the history of the couple. Who knows where our Sims could meet the partner of their dreams? Plus, I actually loved the challenge in Sims 2 when one member of a happy couple had a very potential strong attraction to someone else because they were technically better matched, but never acted on it. Or maybe sometimes they did, lol. It gives more interesting story potential.
I will agree with Drums and bands (those have to go hand in hand for me)
Some type of roommate system that will allow more than just 8 to a household at a time. (I've really thought about this recently but I wouldn't call it a priority)
A patch or update that adds more part time jobs and allows adults to join them. (I know there are mods for this but it really should be an official feature imo).
Mostly the thing I want is jobs. This new self titled career option tells me that they know some of us want more careers so I really hope that's the focus going forward.
1. a bonvoyage type of exansion
2. a lasvegas type of world with casinos (this would be an amazing new idea for ep so i hope they try it)
3. farm animals like cows and chickens!
FREED BABIES!!
But seriously yeah, I loved the Sims 2 baby life stage. I wanna see my little ones crawl (:
Also another thing is story progression.i think developers have said there is story progression , but I truly don’t see anything happening besides other Non-played sims aging. There is no relationships formed, without my help of course, no children being born, etc,. I don’t want to have to make things happen with sims I don’t really care for, but I still wanna see that their out there doing something with their lives. Ya know?
- More things for younger stages (tots-teens) and the freedom of babies. If a huge generation-like pack was released plus a patch before it freed the babies, I'd be a happy simmer.
- An attraction system. I don't like always dictating who my Sims like, I like them to choose sometimes. I notice that it's easier to hit it off with some sims than others, but having an actual attraction system would be better for me.
- School! I'm all about family play, so I'd like to send Sims to university before leaving the nest. It'd be cool if they opened up ALL school stages and they were all active like the go to school mod, since they already bombed the road to fame mod (though I'd feel bad for the creators)
Comments
I to love dragons and want them in game
yes #free the babies
Vacations
Witches
2. Cars
3. Cars
I don't even care if all they do is pull out of the driveway and disappear. I just want them.
I want to be able to see my sims hop in before going somewhere, or hop out when arriving back home.
I want to be able to shop for them.
I want to able to wash them.
Cars.
This is strangely poetic.

Laptops, they have tablets, gaming rigs, but yet no laptops!
Bathrooms where you can make them yourself, not sure what they’re called
*Improved babies (like the Sims 3 babies)
*Being able to swim in the ocean.

my top 5:https://store.thesims3.com/myWishlist.html?persona=adamzaid#
That jam station mod is legit one of the best mods ever. I love how you can decorate your shelves with the jars of jam and preserves afterwards.
-better weddings
-better trait system
but I definitely wouldn't say no to more jobs, recipes, or family interactions
But seriously yeah, I loved the Sims 2 baby life stage. I wanna see my little ones crawl (:
