    Can't get the elixir store to sell me anything

    I've really liked the expansion so far except for this one problem. I decided to continue playing in my original town so I just imported the elixir store and the bar but for reason every time I send my to the store to get a elixir the owner just shakes his head and refuses to sell me any elixirs :(

    Do any of ya have this issue or is there a game mechanic to getting him to sell you that I'm not a aware of?

      I'd try going to edit town and deleting the lot. Then just replace it. Let me know if that works!

      Hello there! I had a similar problem. Mine turned out to be an elixer with a negative days stamp as in it has passed the amount of time it was supposed to sell. I fixed this by using the cancel option. If you had previously tried to sell elixers and they didn't sell I would give that a try. You may have to go back to the town you started your sim in "the original" and do it, then re-transfer the working import. Hopefully this helps! :D

      I tried deleting the lot and even moved it to another place on the map but still every time I walk in there and ask to buy items. He just shakes his head :? I also never have sold him any elixirs because I never had even gotten to the buy/sell menu.

      I had the same problem, but I fixed it. It turns out an outdated "faster skills" mod was causing the problem. When I removed the mod, the elixir store began working again.

      Custom Sims 3 now has new mods that have been updated for Supernatural, by the way. They just listed new mods for faster skill gain and cheap lifetime rewards. http://customsims3.com/forums/forum-34.html

      Have you tried the Browse option instead of Buy? I think the same thing happens to me when I click on Buy (no mods in my game at all) but when I click on Browse, I get the menu to come up and I'm able to buy/consign normally.

      My game is completely unmodded to my knowledge. If I did have a mod. What Sims 3 folder would it be in.

      Did you get the browse option by just clicking on the store clerk?

      That's weird. The elixir store works for me now (since I removed an outdated mod that was causing problems). I just bought something from the elixir store last night in my game and it worked fine. :?: If you don't have any mods, then maybe the store is just glitchy and works for some people but not others.

      I remember having this problem when Ambitions came out and I went to the consignment store. The man would just say no and the menu wouldn't come up.

      I didn't do anything about it but simply started a new game...and then it's worked ever since. Sorry to not be of more help!

      It happened to me too, I clicked on the clerk as opposed to the register and that worked

      My shop is not working but for a different problem : I don't seem to have "elixir shops" as new lot type in my game.... All of my community lots are nameless and labeled as "no visitor allowed"....

      the register doesn't seem to do anything. and the only option is to click the clerk and use buy items but he just shakes his head and tells me no. I even tried making friends with him but even that seems not have worked.

      removed lot and replaced it. - hasn't worked

      messed with the register - hasn't worked

      Not being able to use the store has really made it hard for me to enjoy this expansion because it plays a big role.

      Going to make a separate save slot and see if that wields any results

      I can't accept gifts that people send me because when I try it crashes my game due to the mailbox. I can't even get to my player wall. Sure wish they would fix this.

      I expect bugs with new features on this site but it's aggrevating.

      OK ! SOLVED !
      Get the CONSIGNER mod out if you have this problem. It obviously prevents the new lot type to show up and thus work properly !

      PS : I'm referring to my problem of no "elixir shop" being available.

      I'm glad you fixed your issue. Also on mine when I started a new save in moonlight falls I had no issues getting into the elixir seller menu. I've concluded that my elixir seller in my other game is a complete **** and I want him to die.

      On a serious note I plan on killing him so he can be replaced which seems to be my only option because no one else seems to have this issue

      I had this issue, but I was able to fix my Consignment Specialist by cancelling all of my items for sale. Some reason my stuff was hitting negative amount of days.

      Hey i have the same problem where i cant buy anything and i tried selling things but rhey never sold so im wondering if what your saying is my problem too i was just wondering how do you cancel your items tryin to be sold or whatever...?

      I had this problem to and I did 2 things to fix it. I'm not sure if its one or both that fixed the problem but this is what I did:
      1. cancel the sale items that have negative days on them, and if that does not work or you never sold anything...
      2. Reset the seller using "resetsim (firstname) (lasname)" I think you need testing cheats enabled first to do this. Then the seller will disappear (back to his home lot)and for a couple sim hours the store will be empty until a new seller arrives who is glitch free and happy to take your Simolians.

      Thank you so much for this solution! For me it turned out to be an unsold Maui Bean with days stamp of -4. So glad to have this problem solved.

      I had this problem with the consignment store register. When it happened I'd just click the cancel consignments option and click on the items with the negative days. But I don't have the cancel consignments option at the elixir shop so I don't know what to do to fix it. I have no mods. And I have tried deleting the register, the lot, clicking on the cashier instead and nothing seems to work except the cancel consignments option which I don't have.

      I am having the same issue. How do I see if my items have sold or if it giving me the negetive moodlet for not selling? Also I tried sending a couple different sims into the shop and she wouldn't sell to any of them. :( Very frustrating

      Ok. I do not have Ambitions but do have Supernatural. Every post in this thread says to cancel consigned items to fix the glitch. How exactly do you do that???? I have searched everywhere online and can't find any instructions on how to do that.
