UI Cheats Extension Not Working SOLVED

Okay so, I recently got a new gaming computer, installed my game, installed some of the CC I had on my previous computer, and re-downloaded some mods. Played the game and realized none of the UI Cheats Extension mod was working. No extra cheat popped up on my wheel, testingcheats was not automatically activates, I couldn't drag needs, almost nothing. I can right click on a relationship or skill and the window will pop up to modify and run a cheat, but once you press "run cheat" nothing happens.

I have uninstalled all CC and left only the UI Cheats extension in, but it still won't work. Not sure if it's the mod or me, but people on the comments section for the mod say it's working fine so...help please!!!

Probably a silly question but have you made sure that the UI Extension is up-to-date? I believe it was updated a few days ago for the new patch... speaking of which, have you patched your game?

Yeah, it's the newest version(1.9)

I have it working with MCCC and a slew of other mods and cc content, so I really don't know... what I usually do is whenever I add, update or remove a mod (or any cc content) I clean out (NOT delete) the 'cache' folder (this is within your Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/ directory) and also make sure I remove the file called 'localthumbcache.package' which can contain data from previous mods (which is in the mentioned directory).

Other than that, perhaps re-download the UI mod again - you may have gotten a corrupted download file.

Something to try perhaps... sorry I can't be of any help.

That's alright! Thanks for trying. I do the same thing and I have the localthumbcache file removed. I've also removed and reinstalled both the scripts file and the actual mod file for UI cheats ext. but to no avail.

Try checking that you have the “ scripts enabled” button in game options still ticked, as well as the “enable custom content and mods" button ticked.

Oh my goodness, I feel so ridiculous right now. I completely forgot to check that I had scripts enabled. It's working now, thank you~!

Try uninstalling the mod, then go to the download page of the mod and download/install the latest version, Then see if it works then,

I have done all that and it still doesn't work maybe it's been due to the new update recently??

I have done all that and it still doesn't work maybe it's been due to the new update recently??

The UI Cheats extension mod was broken by the recent patch, due to the Python update. The modder who created it has posted that he was waiting until he has his copy of Get Famous, then would release an updated version of the mod. It would be best to remove the old broken version of the mod,

Hey, new to this but im having a problem with UI Cheats too. I'm also with MCCC but my CC is working fine. I just recently installed GTW and thought it might be that because yesterday it was working fine. I tried installing a new one getting the one that worked but the MCCC menu wont pop up on a sim and i can't drag needs

Please help im lost :neutral:

There has been a new MCCC version released since the patch so it would be best to download the latest version, There are also issues with some parts of the UI Cheats mod since the patch.

oh thank god ok, im pretty sure that solves the ui problem, ill try download the mccc now and i hope it all gets fixed, thanks! <3

@rosemow so I just got the new updated version but the menu still wont pop up and its really confusing me, any other ideas coz ive really tried everything, thanks

My UI Cheats has recently stopped working (after the April patch, which I just DL'd). The issue is that there are no longer options to add (or remove) traits when clicking on any sims. I checked to see if the mod was updated, and I re-DL'd it into my mods folder- but still no luck. Anyone know how to fix this?

Did you download it from here? https://www.patreon.com/posts/ui-cheats-v1-13-26240068 (it's still free even though it's on Paetron)
Be sure to delete your cache files as well. This explains how: https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2014/09/delete-cache-files/
Also, make sure your game is up to date.
