Right now, each time my sim has reached elder I am bored with them. I don't feel like setting new goals for them because they'll die soon anyway. So I'm stuck between "just die already" and "should I kill them?" and "I worked so hard on this sim and achieved so much I don't want them to die, nuuuuuuu...." which is really just the worst. I tend to move out with my offspring because I am too annoyed thinking of things for the elder sim to do, or just sticking them in front of the tv all day, it makes playing them a drag. And since I don't like the world aging along with my sims I set my settings to only have aging on for my active family, long story short, my world is filling up with the elderlies that I raised from either young adult or even baby on out. I refuse to kill them because all the time I spent playing them has given me a sense of attachment, but I don't want to continue playing them either because they're boring.

Make a gamepack if that's what it takes, I would buy it if it meant I could enjoy even the final years of my sim before he dies. Or even better, if I could look FORWARD to those retirement days when my sim can finally do cool elderly-only stuff. Retirement homes would be cool! The elderly sims could compete over being the most popular elder in the facility, I'm sure your designers can make this work out similarly to and as entertaining as get-together and vampires. Just to really get the player to feel like they have goals to reach with their elder sims, to finish the final chapter of a beautiful well played sim-life.

Miss me with that toddler-grow up kids packs, hit me with those retirement homes elderly packs!

This idea right here would be something different to add to the game and I think they should really consider it. Adding something like retirement homes, that are actually interactive, would be a first in the series and finally... Elders will have their time to shine. So I absolutely agree with your comment. I feel like with elders I don't do anything with them and just move on to the next sim and I'm tired of doing that. We need a pack dedicated to elders.

I've probably commented in this discussion before, but at this point and time. Fix the bugs. It's been months since I've been able to properly play. Honestly, I'm done starting my legacies over due to bugs. Come on. It's 2018. It's a video game that cost hundreds and hundred of dollars to own. Why. Are. There. So. Many. Bugs. Little bugs would be fine. No. These are bugs that make me want to pull my hair out and just stand there and do nothing. Just like my sims.... Sorry for the extraness in this comment. I'm just frustrated.

The game itself is fine. For me the main issues that need fixing are the bugs such as the ones where the sims freeze while time goes on. I'm not sure whether the incessant spawning of NPCs is a bug but I don't care for it. The other big problem for me is the screwed up death notifications - friends and family only, please.

Love this idea! I think that eleder sims are so cute and cool but I never create them because there is not enough gameplay with this age. Love to see my sim in a florida theme retirement home build (:

I would love to be able to move Sims with bb.moveobjects. Teleporter is nice, but it's a real hassle sometimes.

I’d really like to see the photography skill turned into a career or even just expanded. It would be nice to have family photos with the entire family from babies to elders.

I’m also patiently waiting for every day careers such as teaching, military and maybe a construction worker. Just something to add a good balance in between. And jobs for teens.

I kind of want preteens. The jump from kid to basically a 19 year old is beyond weird to me. In addition I desperately want more things for teens to do! I think it would be cool to add an actual school, part rabbit hole, where part of the building is decor and it’s rhe school gymnasium that is open. It would also be great to have a school for each neighborhood, this would be neat for friendly rivals, or getting invited to multiple proms. Here teen only events are hosted/spawned. Prom! I desperately want proms, with of course prom photos and the ability to ask other teens to prom. And other high school events like homecoming/peprally’s, sports games. There could also be events that help increase your students academic performance. Chess matches, maybe participate in a science fair, gymnastics could be introduced also, maybe community fundraising events such as bake sales or an indoor flea market for people with seasons. This could also be a meeting place for kid scouts.

I’d like to see more activies for elders such as a bingo night! Which could be spawned at the mentioned above gymnasium. I’d like a sewing machine also.

We also need more projects for our handy sims. Even though there’s no cars in ts4 maybe we there could be an engine that handy sims can put back together, and once completed send it off to be mounted?

Idk if it's suggested but if I want to move out a single Sim (like a kid that's grown up and should move out to create more available household slots) I shouldn't have to do virtual calisthenics splitting households, merging, etc. Perhaps when using the "Move Household" option on the phone, it should give you the choice of moving out a single Sim as well.
• KiaraSims4ModsKiaraSims4Mods Posts: 2,782 Member
Story Progression. I shouldn't need a mod for Sims to move around, have babies, get married, ect in the game. Without mods there's no life going on in the game.

Also please fix the simulation LAG.

There are other things like:
Swimming in water
Color wheels
Cars
Opening the world more
More lots in neighborhoods
Adding in laws and step kids for the relationship panel
More detailed content in the game

I'd love to see it like is was in ts3 where it would bring up a dialogue and you could choose who moves out. Having to go out and manually split the household is annoying.

I'd also like to see more empty lots in neighborhoods, or at least the ability to add empty lots.

Add proper family trees to the sims 4 (at least on Xbox) in my game when playing as the most recent generation it only shows siblings, parents, grandparents and great grandparents no Uncle's and Aunt's and no cousins. If I move a bit up if I use the tab as a sim who has siblings those siblings children don't show up either

-More tattoo and more part of tattooed(legs, face, neck...) Now it's too easily to tattooed same patterns
-More hair color, natural hair/eyes color and dyed hair/cosmetic contact lenses
-Preteens and middle ages/quinquagenarians. I think the changing of to children to teens/adults to elders are too big. But generally preteens are change very big and quickly IRL, it maybe the reason of EA not add preteen so far?
-Can choose same age for vampire parents as theirs YA or older children
- More traits and traits what can choose(like TS3 up to 5 traits)And I have an idea about this:
Impatient(conflict with perfectionist): They make things faster but easier to make bad quality, usually run when move, eating/drinking faster, be tense when waiting food(DO)/drink

Some I think too not realistic:
study violins are easy as guitars, finish homework and go to school on time definite have good grade(I know many people want to cry), I take out my phone and dial the number of the job search, then I become a scientist so easy

And I have a whim when created a sim who was growing up in a terrible period: mental traumas. It can choose in CAS and influence daily life(such as parenting style), can be cure

Make Sims smarter, I keep having to drag things they have in their inventories back into their inventories after they use them and put them down instead of putting them back in their inventories like they should do, it's a tirisim task and I wish someone would fix this issue already, not sure how many times it needs to be brought up....

I am taking the 'fix' part really serious, nothing is as annoying as getting a new pack but almost being unable to play it because it is SO broken, all the bugs and different problems ruin the experience...

One of the best ways to deal with this is getting beta-testers who get to play the game early, so the makers can communicate with them and fix more bugs. I get that they want to keep things secret and everything, but there must be a way to work with that. I am actually surprised that they have no beta's, with more people to test the game of different systems we can try to patch a whole lot more, and even better, entirely test an expansion pack before it comes out!

Patch in pool chairs/recliners, it's so obvious that this would have been at least a great object for the upcoming get famous expansion, but no. Still no pool chairs, not even for the rich and famous.

There is lots first we need to remove the Mature delivery system of Baby being born.

Make sure babies are Teen Friendly and develop appropriately but with partnership you could give the babies the updates people want but at a faster rate and looking after by another company would save your company and employees time to develop other ideas.

And you can have this on sims mobile and The Sims 4.

Kindest Regards

The first thing that needs to be improved is better playtesting prior to release. I play tabletop miniatures like (Warhammer) 40K. I love it and before any new codex or game (like Necromunda Killteam etc) there is plenty of playtesting done prior to release to ensure the game is playable fun and as balanced as they can get it. Granted there are power players in any miniatures game that only wants to break the game and suck out all the fun in a game.

I have said this before I know that they won't get all the bugs and solve all the problems in the game prior to release even with a proper playtesting of the game but it will make issues like playing a vampire or an alien known prior to release and whether or not the problems and bugs are acceptable on the release date. I think they should recruit us from the forums here and set up a section that would only be accessible to the p[aytesters. Where they can share problems and bugs that they have encountered. Focus groups and survey companies like Opinions and C&C Market Research are great to find out if players like or dislike a concept that they want to make a game but not for playtesting. I don't care how players look playing a game. It's never as important as having a game that has few problems/bugs upon release. Worry about players having the game broken without mods/CC first then worry about how much we are geeking out while playing. Sometimes the ways other types of games are playtested are really your best options when seeing what is best for the franchise.

Now for the stuff, I would like to see in the game

More content for the packs that come out. Nothing is more annoying than so little for so much and a pack that breaks the game upon release (without the player playing with mods/CC)

Kids
Slides, forts, treehouses, playing games like tag hide and go seek, eating lunch with a crush or with friends, sleepovers, parties where the parents can invite the kid's friends. Pizza parties at school. sports for them to play that allows them to gain adult athletic abilities early. If they can have the active trait that I have noticed makes them able to gain motor skill quicker but they should also be able to gain athletic skills too sooner.

mild romance actions revealing a crush, playing house. kiss on the cheek, holding hands, going to a school dance together or social event together. pretend marriage. promise rings, gifts to each other like flowers, candy and toys.

I am on the fence about tweens. The toddler stage isn't a long stage but we have them don't we? The thing is a 5-year kid isn't going to be into the same things as a 10 or 12-year-old kid is going to be into. They won't want to play tag, or on the monkey bars anymore. They will think show songs like "Sim Sim Ranger run run run fight for what you knooooow is RIGHT RIGHT RIGHT" is a stupid song and Sim Sim Ranger is an equally stupid show. "That's for babies! I hate it! I want Jonny Simster's album and burn my Sim Sim Ranger sheets while you're at it!" They would be a little taller but not as tall as a teen and not as short as a child. They would have options like school dances they could go to. Still mild romance actions too. They would have the option to start dating. Give them stylish clothes have them be socially awkward and easily embarrassed because at that age they are starting to care about their image and fitting in.

Teens
school dances, events just for teens like beach parties, get a little retro with some of the events too like ice cream socials. Special places that are just for teens that we don't have to set to be a teen hangout.

In general
1 Vehicles

2. More choices for education from pre-school through College/University. I would love the options of private school, reform school, military school, online education, charter schools studying abroad for my sims. Though there are Parochial school options offline I wouldn't want it as an option for the game because religion can be politically incorrect and offend some Simmers out there.

3. More traits, aspirations and careers

4. More Worlds and more places in each of the worlds

5. Stop fixing what isn't broken it breaks the whole game when you attempt to appease us with flash and pomp. (Exhibit number 795 The Gallery comes to mind) Give us some real substance.

6. Better interactions with good and evil. I am not saying we need historical evil like Nero or Caligula and others but even cartoon villains like D- Dastardly with Muttly and 60's Batman show would be a better improvement to villainy in the game and it would still be in the teen rating.

7. Spiral Staircases, L Shaped staircases ... more staircases, ladders, etc. I would love to have a grand entryway with a beautiful staircase in my builds. DD2tkK2.jpg?1K5bX9VS.jpgZFT2U07.jpggB3Qtht.jpgdNPwTvl.jpgd2jTrIi.jpg?2XTiV3uW.jpg73NApi1.jpg4YpCNq2.jpgSH5sMhO.jpgOzzagdB.jpgW0w3KNH.jpg

8. The Colour Wheel back.

9. More clothing, shoes, hair, makeup and accessories

10. bunk beds, queen and king sized beds

11. Less generic dialogue

12. Couple's dance and more styles of dance from ballet and pointe to street and hip hop

13. Add other forms of gaming as a real skill. It's ignorant to assume that video gaming is the only type of gaming out there. It annoys me more than anything as a Gaming Female. I doubt Games Workshop will have an aversion to giving EA the rights to let sims play Necromunda, Killteam and (Warhammer) 40k. Have card games like Flux, Cards Against Simanity, RPGs LARPing (Live Action Role Playing). Since Video Gaming *exasperated sigh and mumbling something under my breath* then make a real skill like cosplaying a skill for sims. It should also be an aspiration under creative to be a cosplay idol/professional cosplayer.

14. Martial Arts as a skill and hunters of vampires

15. More Occult and Supernatural, Mystical races "Otherkin" (Werewolves, fae, angels, demons, mermaids, etc.)

Playtesting - not just tabletop games and card games any more. Really that should have been playtested in Beta and not

Circular stairs are all very well but most of those shown wouldn't pass a Health and Safety test in the uk. What about the poor old removal men getting the beds and wardrobes upstairs! (another career option maybe)? They might be a good way of killing off the elders falling downstairs though. I would infinitely prefer elevators/lifts for my elder Sims or some type of halfway corner landing for sectional stairs.
• MidnitemagicMidnitemagic Posts: 16 Member
We need more stairs as well! I'm honestly sick of only having one option! More stuff to do with babies adding on to the fact that we should be able to take them away from the bassinet.. and more toys for toddlers that are smaller unlike the giant stuff that came with the toddler pack.

1. Pre-Teens
2. Set lifespan for each age level
3. More realistic pregnancies (Going to the hospital for a scan to see gender and how many, More symptoms other than morning sickness, miscarriages, etc)

I have another one that I'm sure has been requested ad nauseam already:

A way to copy makeup to all outfits!

Going through and setting makeup for every outfit is really tiresome. Maybe the interface can look like the one where we can copy a vampire sim's hair/clothing/skin to their dark form?
