    New type of stairs in the new update?

    Do anyone know if we get l shaped or u shaped or spiral stairs in the new terrain tools update? I would love to have it in my game and it will add so much!!!

      No indication that there would be any new stair types in that patch.

      I would love to have a new type of stairs and in different styles in the sims 4 , since the already existing ones can take up a lot of space specially if you're doing a small build with tall walls . Sadly no news of their release , as far as I know . HOWEVER , SimGuruGrant had a poll on twitter that stated "Stop stairing at me . Pick your most desired type of stair . Note that this is not an affirmation of working on it or not working on it . We want to hear from you guys to guide us ." and the polls options were : Spiral , L-shaped , U-shaped , Stair landings ... to which (last time I checked) the popular vote was Spiral . This is all of my knowledge on the "stairs news" :p

      They did mention that there's no new type of stairs in the recent live stream. But, from the new building foundation, I think, we can do something similar.. So, for the time being, there's no news on the new type of stairs...

      From what I've seen in the live stream, I think one might be able to build L or U shaped stairs with the terrain update. BUT (and that really is a major one) the stairs themselves won't be completely inside a room. Part of them will necessarily be outside. But if you add a bit of crafty roofing, you may be able to make it work. Of course, if you want to make those types of stairs outside, it will be doable. Note that, if, for outdoor stairs, you use "blocks" rather than just terrain, it will mess up your floor levels to some extent.

      It still may be worth a try. And who knows? There are many building geniuses out there who could just pull it off. Hopefully when they do, they'll produce a tutorial for those of us not so 'gifted.' ;)
