Meeh, I didn't see much that I personally wanted in a new EP for TS4.
It looked more like a game pack than an EP to me.
Top on my list is
1. Still wanting a significant difference in teen sims so I can tell them apart from YA's & A.
2. Swimable lakes, oceans & rivers
3. Zombies, Witches and other Super Natural life forms.
4. Buy-able elevators so we can build our own custom high-rises.
5. School buses, Automobiles, Garages & Driveways
6. Return of NPC's like Firemen& Burglars
7. Free babies from bassinet
8. CAW
9. Farm EP complete with Cows, Horses & Chickens
10. School game pack
Please Bring BackToddlers, Realistic Teenagers and Create a World.

I want it, but I'm waiting until the mod situation is good again. I am not going to update my game until my mods are either working or the creator says they aren't going to update. However, I'm also not that concerned with fame in my game, which is why I never downloaded the Road to Fame mod. I'll likely wait for a sale. Most of the expansions have ended up all hype and then a huge let down. Seasons is the only one so far that feels I got my money's worth.
ETA, I'm waiting on a sale after seeing the footage. Its not worth the price of an EP and it should have been a GP, if not altogether free.
I like that this expansion is not just for the acting career, but other fields as well. You could, for example, become a famous lv 10 scientist.
However, I'd like to know how that fame will reward you. Hopefully it is more than just a fame bar that grants a moodlet or two.
I've already made a post on another thread about all the builds I can make from this pack, and that's enough for me to get interested. Suffice it to say, I don't see the pack for what it is alone. I can use the costumes in themed diners and bars. I can expand the usefulness of the Movie Hangout pack (or use that pack to expand on this new one). I can make movie memorabilia stores. I can give my celeb Sims like Bob Ross or the Winchesters their own, proper shows. Even my chef Gordon Ramsay can be famous like he should now.
There are way more options than many seem to give it credit for. I'm definitely looking forward to it.
I'll buy it, IF it comes with more than the acting career. The Influencer career is being added for free, so I'm not including that. It's great that the fame system extends to other careers, but that doesn't really add any extra gameplay.

Actually, your Sims can get famous in any careers... But, I assume that you're talking about a new career...
I don't know yet, I mean, the CAS and BB look good, but I've not seen enough of the new world, and I also need more info on gameplay before I can judge.
Um is it just acting? The girl at the party was photographed when she played the guitar so maybe there's more careers.

Maybe. I might wait for a sale on it. I don't really care for content that takes my Sims away from the home lot too much, and that's pretty much all that there seems to be unfortunately (I play families).

I never use the active careers so the actor one is a big no for me, I don't like the buy and build and Cas content that was showed so far and I don't like the fact that they are trying so hard to appeal the so called "game changer" (I don't even know what they are, since I don't use YouTube). The only thing I could like about this pack is the new world but it's not enough to buy it.
I am totally stoked for this! I saw an 18th century dress, at least for a woman in the clip. I'm guessing there's a celebrity system and I'm certain, one way or another I can get a singer Sim into the mix. This is right up my alley! I'm very excited, so much so I keep making really dumb typos. LOL
The CAS and new neighborhood look interesting. But I will wait on guru info (live streams) on how the fame system works before I can decide for sure. I don't want every painter/chef/writer/politician/scientist/doctor/etc. to be famous. And I do NOT want every Sim to be famous just because they are friends with famous Sims.
So, I'll wait and see...

For me, I'm playing an ancestral save that takes place in the 18th century. You can imagine how stoked I was at seeing that costume and that hair. I do hope they did enough research to include the everyday white linen cap the women wore to help keep their hair clean in between washings. This will keep me from using cc again. I do have the Road to Fame Mod, and another one to help with the singer career. Looks like I won't need these. I'm too exited and glad it's not that long of a wait. Smiling so hard my cheeks ache.

Yeah, I finally had to remove all of the Rococo items I had as they were borking my game. Not a lot of time to play right now. Two Beagle pups who are resisting housebreaking.
I hated Superstar (it was the worst, fight me) and was pretty indifferent to Showtime/TS3's celeb system, so while I'm sure I'll get it, I'm not super excited. But hey, maybe they'll surprise me, like they did with toddlers.
I don't feel like the trailer revealed enough, I'll wait for the gameplay one to make my mind up but for now I'm not that into it. Looks alright, just not my thing.
Oh honey, this was sold for me yesterday before anything was even announced. Anything that involves my Sim potentially getting celebrity status, I am here for.
I like to use The Sims to do things I can't do in real life. Be a vampire, go on a jungle holiday, cook... Get Famous is right up my street, no matter how tiny and overpriced it may turn out to be.
Either way, it looks like fame is being very much developed this time. Perhaps the fame coding will be used in other ways in the future. Or perhaps it's a twist on current coding - certainly active career coding is in full swing.
Prepping a list of mods to add after Infants are placed into the game. Because real life isn't 'nice'.
I'm so exited about this new pack! I always loved the idea of famous and rich lifestyle ( And in sims 4 sims are so pretty and items pretty so YesYes) And i like how this is expansion because new world, more items maybe much detailed life style. I think sims 4 need more expansions since we do have quite lot of stuff packs and game packs, so yes i like idea of expansion for that reason too.
