    Looking for Mods: Longer Lifespan and Slower Needs Decay

    As the title says I'm looking for some mods for my game. I have the Sims 2: Ultimate Collection with graphic rules maker to help it run better.

    The mods I'm looking for is a double or just longer lifespan mod that effects all sims, premades included. Doesn't have to be adjustable but if it could, that'd be great. I'm also looking for a mod that will make the needs decay slower. Anyone know if there are any mods available like this?

      Hi the mod for a double lifespan is here http://www.modthesims.info/d/437709 Mind you this is one of many, many lifespan mods, some longer, some shorter. There are a ton on MTS if you wanted to poke around.


      I don't know of a mod to make needs drain slower per say. There is a mod by Boiling Oil, that adjusts motives as you play (if you turn it on in game) You can turn it off as well, so needs will go down naturally. You can read about and download on Leefish, but we can not link to Leefish. Though Bo has a list with links to his mods here http://www.simbology.com/smf/index.php?topic=7875.0 It is under personal favorites, called Need Freak.

      Also in case you haven't, don't forget to spend your Aspiration benefit points to help needs decay slower as well.

      @JULES1111 I've actually already tried a few (even the one you linked to) and they haven't worked for me, which is why I decided to ask other players if thy knew any good ones. I didn't know about the mod by Boiling Oil though. Thanks!

      Most lifepsan mods will not work one existing Sims until they have their next birthday. Since most change the days in each lifespan and the game keeps track by days left. 15 days left is the same number if the adult lifespan has 25 days or 50 days.

      There are only a few that work on existing Sims before their birthday. Those are ones that change how the aging process works. Which BoilingOil's does I believe.

      If you want current sims to update to your modded ages without aging them then go here

      and download age fix. When you start it will fix the ages of all sims and update them to the current lifespan based on your mod. Remember to remove the mod once you use it so it doesn’t try to fix the ages every time you play the game.

      Note: the mod will fix the ages for all sims the minute you load a house. Just save and then quit the game.

      And download ijagecon.zip under age group tweaks.

      Open the file in simpe and put in the numbers you want (the site tells you how to do that)
      Note that sims live one day longer than the number you put in so if you put child age as 10 days it will say child ages up inn 11 days

      Don't forget the aging -off cheat when you start up a house.
