VR for a game like the sims is completely inappropriate.... assuming wooho and other romantic interactions are to remain.
The main part of the franchise should not be for VR, perhaps they could have some other branch for it, but not for the main game. Why would they want to make it inaccessible to more people? Hardly anyone is into VR, hardly anyone has the equipment for it, people struggle to have a PC or laptop to run the game as it is. Why would you want it to be more expensive? More inaccessible? More undesirable?
Maybe instead of seeing the actual Woohoo, there's a cut scene like the ones we had in Sims 2:
