How do I get more points? I have 16 posts... but only 14 points, and I need 25 points for 'membership'.
@SheriGR, just comment on other members threads such as creation threads of their Sims, houses or stories as people appreciate feedback from other members. Also comment in ideas and/or feedback threads for TS4.
Hey, guys. I have a quick question. I recently became a member and was wondering if changing one's profile picture is limited to the desktop version of the site? I'm on mobile the most, though I don't see a way to edit my profile.

Hello @Rebelution76
Click on your username which will take you to your activities wall. On the top right hand side of the screen, there is a little picture of a person. Click the arrow beside it, then click “ preferences”. On the left hand side of the screen there will be an option to change your profile picture.
This is very very good to know I am currently an new member and I wanted to know how I could become a member. This will help me a lot so thank you
Hello @greatmorgan
You have the required posts, but just need some more points.
Just in case you didn’t know, the number of points and posts needed to become a full member has changed since this thread was started. You now need to have 25 points and 15 posts before you can become a full member. This thread explain about it. http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/934205/small-change-for-new-members#latest
Happy simming

I can't run the game because I have technical issues. I can't ask a question in the technical issues forum because I'm not a member. To become a member I have to participate in discussions...with people who are playing a game I've never played.
I think there's a Black Mirror episode about this.

In order to be able to posts pictures and have an avatar, you first need to become a full member because as of right now you are considered a new member. New members are restricted from starting new threads, posting pictures and links, having an avatar or changing one, sending private messages to other members. In order to become a full member, you will need to have 25 points, 15 posts and an account older than 24 hours. http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/934205/small-change-for-new-members#latest
A link with a list of badges that gives out points. There is a page that explains what each badge is but it's broken for the time being. http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/770609/member-or-new-member-everything-you-need-to-know/p236

I would suggest for all new members to go and read the rules of the site before posting...
A link to Forums Etiquette, Warning/Banning Process and the Forum Rules... http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/categories/forum-rulesFor any New members who want to get their post/point count up, the best thing that I would advise you to do is to find threads that may interest you and join in on them or go to the Off Topic section and join in on some of the word/story games over there. The posts made over in the forum section will go towards your post count whereas the posts made on your wall and the Activity Feed doesn't go towards the total post count. The only thing that you will get if you should make any post over on your wall or Activity Feed will be any Insightfuls, Likes or Awesomes as they will go towards your total points count. Hopefully creating your posts on other threads will also increase your points...
And for anyone who may have any issues with TS3, here's the link for New Members to post their TS3 issues in.

The EA team has moved The Sims 4 Help Center section to the Answers HQ Forums now. The Sims 4 Help Center section on this forum is now "Read Only". And for name changes, you can request them on either @EA_Lanna or @EA_Mage page...

Thanks! But.. How do I go about getting points? Also, how do I have 15 posts if I can't post yet? I'm so confused? Also, I've had this account for 2 years!
Hello @OliCait
You receive a point each time another simmer presses like or awesome or insightful on a post that you have posted in a thread created by another simmer. The points and posts come from you posting on another person’s thread, not from a thread that you yourself starts, as you can’t start new threads.

@OliCait, you receive points from other members hitting Insightful, Like or Awesome on posts that you make. You can make posts in existing threads such as in the Of Topic section, in the forum section of whichever game you play. You can comment on other members post giving them feedback as they appreciate any feedback that others can give...
Edit to say that posting and commenting on the Activity Wall doesn't help with the total post count...

Hello @probably_pointless
The Sims 4 Bugs and Issues, and Technical sections of the forums here are now read -only. All simmers whether they are full members or not are unable to make new threads there or post on the threads already there. This thread explains about it.
https://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/944811/update-on-the-sims-4-help-center
If you have technical issues, it would be best to start a new thread on the AHQ EA site and post feedback on the issue there.
