Unnatural hair colors for Children and Toddlers and the ability to mark a hair color as dyed or natural. That way, people who only want their kids inheriting normal hair colors can keep on with that, and those who want sims with crazy rainbow animoo hair (like me) can have their fun too. It's all about choices and options, people.
Yes!! I have a sim with blue hair and one of her kids has ginger hair and the other has bright red hair when the father has brown hair, and I think it has something to do with the kids not being able to inherit her hair color!

When one of my Sims gets a phone message, by the time I've noticed the icon, it's gone. There's really no time to switch household characters to see what the message was. I'd like to see a "You have A New Message" or something over the phone icon.

There could be an option to opt out of it in the menu or you could simply skip the scene by pressing the ESC key.
/sign to that
I really dislike the romantic interactions between the sims, especially the makeout kiss options on sofa, love seat and bed. Well, this is not really makeout kissing... this is... a petite tiny little shy kiss.... I like the animations for the makeout on sofa/bed options from Sims 2. It would be great to get this back.
Lots of good ideas here. With you, MasonGamer, on the medieval stuff, adds a whole new dimension to the game. Neptune Suzy has gowns like the one you show for Sims2, don't know if she's translated her magic to Sims4. Maxis made a 'castle in a kit' back then, which might do well here for period players. A small feature that would be very helpful is the age meter that lets you know where a sim is along their age group progression.
There are already age meters where you can see how far along a sim is.
The only thing's that I want in my Sims 4 the most, are to be able to relax on the bed again and to be able to slouch back onto the sofa/chairs. They managed it in the other Sims, I cant believe that those things are so programming heavy that they needed to be taken from us. They are little things, but I would love to have them back. I get to chill on the bed and relax on the sofa, why can't my Sims?!
I once mentioned here my Idea about buildable podests in the hight of the half walls that work like the floor, only elevated.
I still want them, as they would make great additions for builders. I am really sad this Idea wasn't picked up.
I mean, Imagine what you could do with that!
Ability to load WHOLE worlds from the gallery (with or without the people) + a newcrest gallery world by maxis that uses all packs and has venues such as bowling alley, spa, restaurant, retail etc.
@Lauri_Anton That would be amazing! Also, I would like if they added more food you can order. Right now, I'm pretty sure that you can only order pizza. You should add sandwich subs that you can order and customize, and corn dogs/hot dogs. I think that people would use the order food option from the phone a LOT more (or just me lol).
I posted in this thread a year ago that I wanted swingsets, we finally got them included with the Seasons EP! \o/ Anyway, in addition to what I posted before, I'd like to add the ability to place windows above each other and above doors. That one additional feature would open up so many more design opportunities for builders. It would be wonderful if they could be independent of the grid as well.
I'd also love round and especially triangular windows. With triangular windows I could finally design triangular windows inside dormers on the front of log homes and have a completely filled wall of windows (including the roof) for cathedral ceilings.
Of course, I still want independent foundations as well.
There are a few things that I consider small that I would like to see in The Sims 4.
Here is my list.
1.) Finger Nails.
2.) Bloodshot Eyes.
3.) Able to widen/enlarge the sim's eye pupils. Meaning instead of just enlarging the entire eye, you can expand each individual parts of the eye.
4.) Able to make one sim's eye a different color from the other.
5.) Different Teeth styles/options.
6.) More Personality Traits.
7.) More Eye Color options for regular sims. Like being able to have your regular/non-occult sim possess black sclera eyes.
8.) Lounging on the couch.
I'm pretty sure some of you have already made these suggestions/recommendations, but just in case, here are a few things that might go well with the game that are considered as small additions.
Small things? (As opposed to big, sweeping features)
- Drum sets
- Drafting tables
- Children's easels
- Toddler finger painting
- LAN parties
- Arcade teen hangouts
- Movie Theaters
- Static shock from rugs
- Food processors
- Toaster ovens -- no one that I know of makes 'toast' in a frying pan (?)
- Stove tops
- More gas stoves
- Pool tables
- Telescopes that are small enough to fit on a balcony or by the window in a kid's room.
- Recliners/lounge chairs
- functional baby furniture
- Makeup and tattoo opacity sliders
- Random traits when aging up
- Trait randomization in CAS
- Recognition of extended family ties
- Being able to relax while watching television or laying in bed
- Different types of greetings that can be decided by the player, instead of the game -- handshakes, hugs, cheek kisses, air kisses, finger snaps, high fives, fist bumps, shoulder bumps, chest bumps, and daps (Sims shouldn't need to belong to a club to do them).
- More tender romantic interactions
- More activities that can be done as a couple -- dancing, skating, taking walks, making toasts, footsie under the table
- More than one way to propose
- Children's games
- Playground slides
- Pool slides
- Ordinary diving boards
- Apartment doors and multi-household mailboxes
- Self-employment
- A central city/town hall
- Unmade beds!!!
- More messes for sloppy Sims, in general (bathrooms and kitchens should get dirty more quickly)
- Public Services like police and firemen (never mind, in comparison, public service NPCs wouldn't be considered a small thing)
- Meet the parents/family interaction
- Invite household
A purely cosmetic request: please add better-looking cameras to the game. The cameras look terrible.
I would like a smaller microscope and telescope that would fit in a small room; a ceiling fan with lights; a first-aid kit, if there's not any yet.
As for food, I'd like to bake pizzas and choose my own toppings; bake cakes of different shapes (heart, square, rectangle), and make perfect hard boiled eggs.
C&D is my favorite EP and it would be great to have one adult Sim walk multiple dogs, if not ask someone else or hire a pet sitter. Kids can at least walk one small dog, if big dogs are too much for them.
Comments
PLEASE!! I can't find my teen sim's homework and he's only a quarter of the way through and it is most definitely not in his inventory!! Uh ooooh.
