what are these?

I recently downloaded mc command centre and I keep getting these error messages pop up. I thought it was cos I had put the files in the mods folder under the mods folder so I put them outside the mods folder and it seemed to have worked but it still coming up.

Also I got these notifications about random sims moving into the empty houses. Does the mc command centre do that?

Do you have the most recent version? I don't know much about the error messages I'm afraid, but I don't think it necessarily means there's a fault with MCCC, it records errors from base game and any other mods and CC too I think (emphasis on think)

As for the people moving into empty houses - yes that's an MCCC thing but you can turn it off. By default it's on. Gimme a minute and I'll turn my game on to try and find where you turn it off as I don't remember offhand

Okay the setting is on the computer menu (ie the menu that shows up when you click a computer in game)

Population settings > Populating settings > Open Houses

From what I understand that just specifies the number of houses people can NOT move in to and by default it's at 1 so would leave one empty house free. I have it set at 100 and haven't had anyone move in since as I guess there aren't 100 houses available.

I have no idea what could be causing the error messages, but you can disable them in the MCCC menu. It's under "MC Settings\Notification Settings" or something like that. If the error messages say something about LastException, then it's the LE messages you want to disable.

Of course, that won't fix whatever's causing those errors, but it'll at least stop the annoying messages. I wouldn't worry too much about the cause of it unless you're also noticing glitches that aren't known basegame issues. (If you are noticing issues beyond the annoying messages, then I would advise contacting deaderpool or egwarhammer).

The moving notifications are also from MCCC, but I haven't found a way to disable those without disabling MCCC notifications entirely (or disabling the move-in feature). I think you just have to put up with it if you want sims to move into houses and you want to receive other notifications.

As far as I'm aware all of MCCC needs to be in your mods folder but not in a subfolder. It needs to be able to read your resource.cfg file to work properly. Your error messages are probably from that. And yes those notifications are from the population settings in MCCC.

It is not a good idea to turn off the error message, it's like burying your head in the sand ignoring the fact something funky is going on in your game and should be looked into, you will still have a lastexception text file logged, which usually means you have either broken mods/CC in your game or something happened in the core game itself. If you keep getting error message pop ups, you really need to pull all mods and CC except MCCC from your game and test them, doing it this way might help you narrow down what mods/CC is bad by making a note to yourself what was going on in your game when the error message popped up, where were your sims, what were they doing?

I love your avatar. One of my brand new, yet to be picked up, Beagle puppies has that same look. So adorable! Can't wait, we get to bring them home next weekend!
