I think I’m in the minority here as someone who’s never played Sims 2... but I absolutely loved playing the original Sims as a kid. I had (and still have, somewhere) the complete collection that comes with all the expansions! A 4-disc set that came in this huge bulky case, since PC games didn’t come on DVDs in those days.

Sims 3 on my old Laptop!
Actually, before that, my mom gave me her old Sims 1 game cd, I installed it and tried playing. I ended up burning my family to death and never touched the game again, haha.
I also had Sims 3 on the DS, but I hated that game too much.
I'm pretty young, Sims 2 came out when I was too young to play it. But I do like the game very much.
The Sims 1 before we lost the disc. Or the box with the installation key. Possibly both. Then for a long time, before I bought TS3, the only Sims game I had was Sims 2 Apartment Pets for the DS. Which I played a lot, despite it being a pretty repetitive game.
