When it was getting close to the time the boys had to leave, I stopped the game of tag and had them chat until the bus arrived. I loved how Shannon looked at the boys as he rode past

When the gardening was done I let Shannon fish for a while. He rolled several wishes while fishing which were easy to fulfill

Mikezumi read while Shannon did a few more rounds with a tractor. I have seen Shannon watering and fertilizing autonomously but I suspect that harvesting is by direction only.
The kids did their homework together

But managed to catch a butterfly from a nearby spawner.
Shannon introduced himself to Shirley. Finnian was chatting with a classmate as he had come home with a wish to hang out with him.
When Moss got back from catching the butterfly he asked Mikezumi about her day He discovered that she was a natural cook while they were talking. Like that wasn't obvious already since he has been eating her perfect meals since he arrived!
I saw Shirley heading to the kitchen. She was helping herself to cookies. No-one complained so all was good

When I saw that it was Shirley's birthday, I sent her home. Moss played in the treehouse

Finnian joined Moss in the treehouse and Shannon and Mikezumi watched a little TV.

Moss's waking wish was to find a rock. There was an active spawner at the water tower near their house. I noticed that there are gem spawners on the lot but they haven't spawned yet.
Finnian's waking wish was to paint. He'd already finished his previous painting, so I had him start another.
Shannon's waking wish was to play a game with Mikezumi. I still haven't relented and given them balls
When Moss got home he played on the block table and mastered it before it was time to leave for school
Because sims can't walk across the tractor paths while the tractors are in use, I had the boys go to the bus stop before Shannon and Mikezumi started gardening.
Although Finnian was at the bus stop it took off without him! Fortunately kids spawn bikes when they need to get around.
Mikezumi and Shannon got start on the gardening.
Mikezumi rolled a wish to read 30 books. She needed two books to get her wish so I gave her two comics which can be read quickly
Shannon reached level 5 in logic while playing chess which triggered a wish to make Bladder Flow potion.
Shannon was about to go to a tractor when Mikezumi finished her comics. Mikezumi had other ideas

Mikezumi tried to go to a bookcase but Shannon wasn't done with her yet
When Shannon got his kiss he left to water the garden. This suited me fine because I wanted Mikezumi to make her first batch of nectar using the morning's harvest Her first batch used 5 cocoa and 5 strawberries. I called it ChocBerry Dream. Because I had her use the mass produce option the value of the nectar was not high (§46 a bottle) but it is an amazing recipe and will gain value soon enough.
I watched her for ages and was about to despair that she wouldn't fall into the barrel!
Just before she finished squishing the fruit, she obliged
When I sent Mikezumi to the basement I thought the lights weren't bright enough so I replaced them. Shannon, of course, had to see what I had spent his money on It's a good thing I don't have Seasons because the basement would flood! I couldn't find any room in the house to place stairs to a basement level and I also have a terrible time building basements under houses with foundations. I have done it but didn't like the look of it.
Mikezumi needs to make 3 more perfect meals to get her wish to make 10 different perfect meals so I sent her upstairs to prepare hamburgers, Moss's favourite.
The kids got home late because of Scouts.
When she was done with the burgers, Mikezumi baked an Angel Food cake.
I loved the way the boys both turned to look at Shannon when he came in. "We did our homework, dad!"
The family had a few minutes to kill before dinnertime so I had them chat so they wouldn't wander off to do something that would make them late for dinner

This is the first time I have seen Mikezumi use the computer. Although it is anachronistic I keep a computer in the house for easy access to Nraas mods. I should be glad it has taken her 13 sim days to find it

I was determined to improve their relationship so sent Mikezumi to start the gardening while the Shannon and Moss got their relationship in order. Finnian's waking wish was to paint so I sent him out to work on his painting.
Shannon and Moss chatted and shared a few jokes but Shannon still didn't learn any of Moss's traits. I gave up trying and had Moss hug his dad before asking him for a game of catch. The hug did it! Shannon learned Moss's traits and I was happy when they went out to play

I paused when Mikezumi was mid-air but my game lagged for a moment because of an SP notification and she suddenly dropped into the barrel before I could get a shot.
There were about a dozen barren plants that needed replacing. I had Shannon plant more on one of the few flat areas on the lot and then moved them to the garden using MOO.
I saw Mikezumi heading towards Shannon when she finished with the nectar but she pulled out a book and kept going.
Moss fished after his treehouse feast. Because he loves the outdoors he fishes autonomously.
Mikezumi picked a pretty spot to read

Dyno Marks was there and I was surprised he was so slim as he was chubby the last time I saw him.
Mikezumi and Shannon went to swim at the same time! I find it odd how they change into their swimwear after they have entered the water

I had Mikezumi prepare pancakes to replace what they had eaten. Can't be running out of hubby's favourite meal!

Shannon and Mikezumi got started on the gardening.
I finally found an active spawner! I had reset the town in the middle of the night and bugs are usually very scarce after a reset.
I saw from Shannon's thumbnail that he was about to water the plants manually so I quickly cancelled it and zoomed to him. I saw a lot of barren plants. The save has been going for two sim weeks and it won't be long before there are no original plants left.
Finnian finished another painting At this rate, it won't be long before he gets his wish to reach level 8
Moss fished when got home from his bug hunt.
I sent Finnian fishing until Mikezumi and Shannon finished gardening.
Moss came over to joke with Mikezumi so I had Finnian join him. The kids' social bars needed filling and I didn't want Mikezumi and Shannon starting something that would take time because I wanted to send the family to the park.
I'd quit my game after the pics in the last update because I wanted to tell igazor that his advice for a problem I was having worked. The first thing Shannon did when I reloaded was to pinch Finnian's cheek!
I hunted high and low and couldn't find a park in Roaring Heights. I placed my favourite small park while the family slept
The kids amused themselves while Mikezumi and Shannon amused each other
I saw the treehouse in Moss's queue and quickly cancelled it when I saw Mikezumi and Shannon heading for it!

Sweet story I love the setting, and you prove that being a young adult isn't everything. All life stages have immense value in their own way and nothing is over just because you have a few grey hairs. I'm not really a big fan of custom content, but it is easy for me to look past it when the story is so captivating

Thanks @Nindigo Although most of the sims I play are YA, I have always enjoyed the elder stage. Besides, Mikezumi is my SS so has to be an elder so she reflects who I am
I know that CC is not for everyone but, for me, it is essential. I played without CC for a long time before I got the courage to try it and now I can't look back.

Because the WA grapes were ready for harvest, Mikezumi rolled wishes to prepare nectar with them. Each grape wish was worth 400 LTH and she had wishes for 4 of them. She would have rolled more but she only had two spare slots and also had a waking wish to prepare a meal. I think they can only hold 3 unlocked-in wishes before more can be rolled. I had her make an amazing recipe which used 3 of the grapes first.
Finnian's waking wish was to finish a book so I gave him a comic and Moss's waking wish was to have a sleepover which I cancelled. Fortunately he rolled a wish to chat with Shannon over breakfast. After they chatted, Shannon rolled a wish to play a game with him

Mikezumi has a wish to make 35 bottles of nectar locked in from the day before so I got her started after breakfast.
Finnian's waking wish was to hug someone and Moss's was to play catch with someone. The boys played catch after a hug Shannon's waking wish was to kiss Mikezumi and he got that when they first woke so I got him started on the gardening.
While Mikezumi waited for her nectar, she helped Shannon with the gardening.
About a dozen trees became barren after harvesting so I had Mikezumi and Shannon plant more.

I always give this recipe to my teens when they learn the cooking skill because I figure it's not cheating because you can't possibly need a recipe to throw some cheese and crackers on a plate!

When Finnian aged up to teen I bought the fixer-up car because I thought it would be a fun activity for a teen. I had Mikezumi and Shannon test it out

Mikezumi had a wish to prepare nectar worth §100. It was worth 1,500 LTH. I have lots of valuable recipes but they use lots of life fruit. I went through my hundreds of recipes and found one that only used 1 life fruit so she could get her wish. I actually prefer making the cheaper recipes that don't add days to my sims' lives.
She fell over as soon as she started squishing the fruit!
Finnian did his homework when he got home. I got a popup that Prom was coming up but I wanted him to learn how to drive before I organized a date for him.
Finnian came home with a wish to paint. I let him paint long enough to get his wish because Shannon was fertilizing the garden but, when he was done, I had Shannon go to him.
I found Mikezumi working on the fixer-up car!
Because the lot doesn't have a parking space, I had to put the car in Finnian's inventory before he could ask Shannon for a driving lesson. Sims sit so low in this car that you can't see them when looking at the car front-on
I found Mikezumi sending a friendly text to Glummo Marks
The driving lesson went well and Finnian got his licence in one shot
I invited Daniel Taylor over when Finnian got home
Moss got home late because of Scouts.
I don't know how well you can see it, but Shannon and Mikezumi were making out in the garden while Finnian was asking Daniel to be his Prom date

I loved the way the boys both turned to look at Shannon when he came in. "We did our homework, dad!"
The family had a few minutes to kill before dinnertime so I had them chat so they wouldn't wander off to do something that would make them late for dinner
They ate the burgers that Mikezumi prepared earlier
I bought another easel and sent the boys outside to paint. Moss isn't artistic like Finnian but he does love the outdoors so probably doesn't care what he's doing as long as he's outside
Mikezumi rolled a wish to play a game with Shannon over dinner. "Give us a ball already!"

Moss rolled a wish to fish before 6am
Mikezumi came to breakfast in her new sleepwear. Granted bloomers are probably a little old fashioned even for RH but, being an elder, Mikezumi would probably have worn them in her day
The family had waffles for breakfast
Mikezumi's waking wish was to weed. I had her weed the money tree because they need to be cared for - not that I have ever had one explode but better safe than sorry
Finnian's waking wish was to use the costume chest
Moss had a wish to level up in painting locked in from the previous day. He got his wish before the school bus came. Finnian wanted to play in costume so I sent him downstairs so he wouldn't be late for school.
Shannon's waking wish was to spar with someone. Mikezumi will not be learning MA so he's out of luck. I knew he would roll many wishes during the day that I could grant and gardening makes him happy
Mikezumi helped out.
Both of the boys got on this bus this time
I gave Mikezumi the recipe for stir-fry and she got her wish to prepare 10 different perfect meals
The boys went on a field trip to the Theatre

I checked that both boys got on the bus after the field trip.
This is the first time I have seen Mikezumi use the computer. Although it is anachronistic I keep a computer in the house for easy access to Nraas mods. I should be glad it has taken her 13 sim days to find it
The boys did their homework when they got home
The boys filled their fun bar before dinner by playing catch
Shannon would ride the tractors all day long if Mikezumi didn't lure him away from time to time
Mikezumi read while Shannon was busy. I wanted her to make another nectar but discovered I had forgotten to plant raspberries in the garden.

The boys worked on their paintings after dinner. Finnian rolled a wish to reach level 8. It will take a while but he had empty wish slots so I locked it in.

I felt sorry for Andromache because she obviously needed to use the bathroom and Shannon wanted to talk about gardening
Finnian had a wish to meet someone new so I had him introduce himself to Consort Capp.

Day 14
It's Saturday and the family enjoyed French toast for breakfast
Moss rolled a wish to talk with Shannon and Shannon rolled one to play a game with Moss. I was determined to improve their relationship so sent Mikezumi to start the gardening while the Shannon and Moss got their relationship in order. Finnian's waking wish was to paint so I sent him out to work on his painting.
Shannon and Moss chatted and shared a few jokes but Shannon still didn't learn any of Moss's traits. I gave up trying and had Moss hug his dad before asking him for a game of catch. The hug did it! Shannon learned Moss's traits and I was happy when they went out to play
Finnian finished his painting. He is now level 7 in painting
Shannon finished off the gardening.
Moss autonomously recycled the old paper
Then went to the treehouse for a Great Feast
Mikezumi's waking wish was to woohoo Shannon. I locked it in knowing that they would take care of it themselves
Mikezumi made another batch of nectar
I paused when Mikezumi was mid-air but my game lagged for a moment because of an SP notification and she suddenly dropped into the barrel before I could get a shot.
There were about a dozen barren plants that needed replacing. I had Shannon plant more on one of the few flat areas on the lot and then moved them to the garden using MOO.
I saw Mikezumi heading towards Shannon when she finished with the nectar but she pulled out a book and kept going.
Moss fished after his treehouse feast. Because he loves the outdoors he fishes autonomously.

I sent the family to the beach
Dyno Marks was there and I was surprised he was so slim as he was chubby the last time I saw him.
Mikezumi and Shannon went to swim at the same time! I find it odd how they change into their swimwear after they have entered the water
Finnian was about to swim when Edward Harbucks stopped him for a chat.

I was wondering why Irene wasn't coming upstairs to socialize and found her chatting with Elliot Nest and MD Fields.
Mikezumi and Shannon went downstairs to meet the other guests. I sent the boys home as there wasn't much for them to do there.
I found Irene eating with Clyde Reeves.
I sent Mikezumi and Shannon home after they had made new friends and found the boys happily amusing themselves

Day 15
Don't get between Shannon and his pancakes, Moss!
Finnian's waking wish was to ride a spring rider. The family didn't have one but they do now
Shannon's waking wish was to play catch with Moss. Knowing Moss's traits has totally changed their relationship. Having a high relationship obviously doesn't mean anything if sims don't "know" each other!
I had Mikezumi prepare pancakes to replace what they had eaten. Can't be running out of hubby's favourite meal!
Moss's waking wish was to find a bug but I had to wait for an active spawner. He also rolled a wish to talk with Mikezumi at breakfast which he got and then he rolled a wish to ride the spring rider when I bought it.
Shannon and Mikezumi got started on the gardening.
I finally found an active spawner! I had reset the town in the middle of the night and bugs are usually very scarce after a reset.
I saw from Shannon's thumbnail that he was about to water the plants manually so I quickly cancelled it and zoomed to him. I saw a lot of barren plants. The save has been going for two sim weeks and it won't be long before there are no original plants left.
Finnian finished another painting
Moss fished when got home from his bug hunt.
I sent Finnian fishing until Mikezumi and Shannon finished gardening.
Moss came over to joke with Mikezumi so I had Finnian join him. The kids' social bars needed filling and I didn't want Mikezumi and Shannon starting something that would take time because I wanted to send the family to the park.

I'd quit my game after the pics in the last update because I wanted to tell igazor that his advice for a problem I was having worked. The first thing Shannon did when I reloaded was to pinch Finnian's cheek!
I hunted high and low and couldn't find a park in Roaring Heights. I placed my favourite small park while the family slept
The kids amused themselves while Mikezumi and Shannon amused each other
I saw the treehouse in Moss's queue and quickly cancelled it when I saw Mikezumi and Shannon heading for it!
"I can't believe they still do it!"
Moss went to Mikezumi for a game of catch.
I felt sorry for Finnian so had him ask Shannon for a game as well
After a long game of catch I had them chat to refill their social bars.
Mikezumi pulled out a book when the kids went off to play.
I didn't know Shannon had a book in his inventory and was surprised when he sat down with Mikezumi to read. He must have picked it himself because is was a Sports book.

The family enjoyed pancakes for breakfast
Because the WA grapes were ready for harvest, Mikezumi rolled wishes to prepare nectar with them. Each grape wish was worth 400 LTH and she had wishes for 4 of them. She would have rolled more but she only had two spare slots and also had a waking wish to prepare a meal. I think they can only hold 3 unlocked-in wishes before more can be rolled. I had her make an amazing recipe which used 3 of the grapes first.
Finnian's waking wish was to finish a book so I gave him a comic and Moss's waking wish was to have a sleepover which I cancelled. Fortunately he rolled a wish to chat with Shannon over breakfast. After they chatted, Shannon rolled a wish to play a game with him

When Mikezumi was done with the nectar, she sought Shannon out for some flirting
I checked to make sure both of the boys had got on the bus after the field trip.
The boys did their homework together

I had to close my game to make dinner and when I reloaded I thought it was funny that Mikezumi was thinking of trash while Shannon seemed to like his surroundings
Because I had interrupted their flirting by exiting and reloading they went their separate ways. Mikezumi made herself a cup of tea and Shannon went to his tractor.
Moss came home with a wish to play chess.
Finnian came home with a wish to hang out with Shannon but that had to wait so he painted until Shannon was free. He got his wish to reach level 8

The family enjoyed Eggs Machiavellian on Finnian's last day as a child
Mikezumi has a wish to make 35 bottles of nectar locked in from the day before so I got her started after breakfast.
Finnian's waking wish was to hug someone and Moss's was to play catch with someone. The boys played catch after a hug
While Mikezumi waited for her nectar, she helped Shannon with the gardening.
About a dozen trees became barren after harvesting so I had Mikezumi and Shannon plant more.
They had a ltitle flirt after planting the trees
Mikezumi tried to read when Shannon went to one of the tractors but I stopped her so she could get her nectar wish out of the way.

While the family were eating cake, I went into buy mode and bought Shannon a car so Finnian could learn how to drive. Finding a large enough patch of ground to place the car parking space was tough but I found one then sold it after I put it in Shannon's inventory.

Day 19
The family enjoyed crepes for breakfast
Finnian didn't have a waking wish so I had him unhide the cooking skill points he got from the field trip to the Bistro by preparing an Autumn salad. It triggered a wish to learn a recipe so I gave him the recipe for cheese plate. I always give this recipe to my teens when they learn the cooking skill because I figure it's not cheating because you can't possibly need a recipe to throw some cheese and crackers on a plate!
Moss's waking wish was to find a rock. I remembered that a gem had spawned in the garden recently so had him collect it.
Shannon's waking wish was to harvest a wild plant so I sent him to the community garden which is nearby.
Mikezumi's waking wish was to catch a great fish.
The family has plenty of produce so Shannon only harvested one plant.
Finnian and Moss worked on their paintings until the bus came.
Mikezumi and Shannon did the gardening when the boys left for school.
Mikezumi finished before Shannon and was trying to read but she had barely opened her book when Shannon finished and came over for a flirt
When Finnian aged up to teen I bought the fixer-up car because I thought it would be a fun activity for a teen. I had Mikezumi and Shannon test it out

Mikezumi had a wish to prepare nectar worth §100. It was worth 1,500 LTH. I have lots of valuable recipes but they use lots of life fruit. I went through my hundreds of recipes and found one that only used 1 life fruit so she could get her wish. I actually prefer making the cheaper recipes that don't add days to my sims' lives.
She fell over as soon as she started squishing the fruit!
Finnian did his homework when he got home. I got a popup that Prom was coming up but I wanted him to learn how to drive before I organized a date for him.
Finnian came home with a wish to paint. I let him paint long enough to get his wish because Shannon was fertilizing the garden but, when he was done, I had Shannon go to him.
I found Mikezumi working on the fixer-up car!
Because the lot doesn't have a parking space, I had to put the car in Finnian's inventory before he could ask Shannon for a driving lesson. Sims sit so low in this car that you can't see them when looking at the car front-on
I found Mikezumi sending a friendly text to Glummo Marks
The driving lesson went well and Finnian got his licence in one shot
I invited Daniel Taylor over when Finnian got home
Moss got home late because of Scouts.
I don't know how well you can see it, but Shannon and Mikezumi were making out in the garden while Finnian was asking Daniel to be his Prom date

Mikezumi and Shannon were late to the table because they were flirting in the garden
Moss came home with a wish to catch a bug. The spawner near the bus stop was active and he caught a pretty purple butterfly
