Sims Minimizing & Maximizing on it's own?

I just bought a brand new gaming laptop this week:
MSI GL62M 7REX-1896US 15.6" Full HD Thin and Light Gaming Laptop Computer
Quad Core i7-7700HQ
GeForce GTX 1050Ti 4G Graphics
8GB DRAM (Googled & it's DDR4)
128GB SSD + 1TB Hard Drive
I have all but 1 EP (Seasons), all but 5 SP (Glamour and 4 most recent), and all but 2 GP (2 most recent).
Sims runs well the graphics are great but sometimes when I try to change menus or go from fast speed to pause the game slightly freezes for 2 seconds then minimizes for a moment then maximizes on it's own then resumes running normally. I am considering upgrading the RAM but I'm a little confused as to why I should have to when this computer is brand new and has 8 GB. Any thoughts anyone?

Make sure that the game is using your graphics card

Check that your graphics drivers are uptodate.
Try turning off origin in-game and see if that helps. To do that, go to Game Library in Origin . Right click on The Sims 4 picture. Click on “Game Properties”. Then untick the box that enables origin in-game
Repairing the game may help. To do that, go to games library in Origin, right click on the sims 4 picture and click repair
Try deleting the cache files and see if that helps
