    *wades carefully through the trolls*

Thanks for the info @Windweaver! All About Style was one of my favourite clothing cc sites for TS2!!! I don't use CC clothing for TS3 because of the blimmin' lag in CAS *rolleyes* but have been visiting the site regularly to see what she's been up to. I like how there is a lot of catwalk high-fashion styles, and I particularly like the historical clothing. I'm pleased to hear she will be making content for TS4. \o/

Thank you for the Link windweaver. I haven't downloaded Any cc for sims 4 Yet, but we'll see, maybe someday when things really get going.

I have TONS of cc for sims 2, all clothing , meshes, hair, skins, eyes, etc. All About Style was definitely up there in my large favorites list. I especially remember decent fashionable Elder clothing when that was a bit hard to come by.

I've downloaded and used a lot of TS4 cc, have found a few that caused problems. Removed those quickly and easily. I keep the ones I like, adds more choices to dressing my sims. Recolors are great. I would make them myself, if I could figure it out. (Yes, I've gone looking at the tools and some tutorials, but still couldn't figure it out. /sigh)

I've used mods since midway TS3, because of all the unfixed problems caused by every patch. I've also used cc that came with downloads from the Exchange. It wasn't as easy to find and remove problem cc in TS3. I'm pleased that it is easier in TS4 to figure out the problems. At this point, I understand that cc doesn't come through with downloads from the Gallery. I hope it stays that way!

I just want to remind people of the new CC mentality at Maxis. They have done nothing to obstruct it this time around. I know that's not the language that Graham used, but he said on several different occasions that they made the game cc friendly, at least that's how I understood what he was saying. So, to me that means they did do things to at least The Sims 3 and I think maybe ts 2 also, to cause trouble in your game if you used it. I don't know if that's actually the case, but I have to wonder since they were so open about it before release. I guess somebody over there is working with the cc community to help them make stuff.

Since that's the case, I would think people would want to give it a go, it is certainly easy enough to be rid of it, if you decide not to use it.

Anyway, to the person who asked about the gallery and downloading content, again, Graham, or one of the other guys over there said you have to go find it on the original site, b/c it won't download off the gallery.

I've started providing links on my stuff, but I have to admit that I wasn't too mindful of where I got some of the skins early on. Since they don't go anyway, I guess it doesn't matter.

Not trying to be rude but, the thread is "The Sims 4 Modding and Custom Content" subcategory "CAS Custom Content" and Windweaver's title for the post is "Good News About All About Style - A Long Time Custom Content Fan Site". I think it was made abundantly clear that a discussion about custom content was happening.

Thank for the head's up Windweaver! While I avoid Mods, I do love custom content. I think the new CAS makes it very easy to determine what CC I want in my game now that we have the option to go directly into it. I like trying on some of the iffier stuff to see how it moves and if I don't like it, I can just delete.

The key to CC, if you are considering it for the first time or just need a helpful hint, is to make as many subfolders as you need to sort your stuff. For instance (always inside the Mods folder) add individual folders for dresses, shoes, tops and pants. I made one folder for my men's stuff as I do not have allot yet. You cannot however, make an accessories folder and then subfolder that with shoes, necklaces and makeup. The second subfolder's contents will not show up in the game. If that makes sense.

This way, if you are going through women's dresses and your game crashes, you only have to contend with the content in the folder named dresses. Plus, all the CC have helpful names this time! I don't know about Sims 3 but, CC for Sims 2 had names like abde177783457... what?

The title was edited after my post pointed out that it didn't mention Custom Content and it was originally in general discussion.

That's true, but if you look further, I noted your comment and stated that I fixed it after you pointed that out.

To be fair, I originally posted this on the General Forum, so she's not out in left on this. And the original header assumed people knew what I was talking about. It wasn't until her post did I realize that I made some assumptions that were incorrect. It's all good, I fixed the header.

I know this is an old thread, but since this *IS* relevant, it's not necro'ing. I just found this thread while looking for Victorian era cc sites & when I tried the link to All About Style I got "Not authorized to view this page [CFN #0004]." Does anyone know of an updated link? Thanks.

I'm not sure what happened to their website but, I do know that they only made contemporary CC for Sims 4.

If you are looking for Victorian CC for Sims you can find some here:

I have gotten the same notice for over a month now. Not sure how no one is missing this site or talking about it. I had to post this here, it's the only thread I've seen mentioning this iconic website. I miss it!
