Another legacy I've been following for ages (and also love dearly) has had a mod introduced to it, and wow! What her Sims do! Most of the time, while playing, she's just watching and calling it a train wreck! And when I read, I'm reading with my jaw open and just smiling and shaking my head!

I have an idea for a non-SimLit short story about an AU version of me being bullied and my water bottles "disappearing"/ broken. In this story the AU version of Me is going to tell the bullies they have a couple of choices in regards to my disappearing/broken water bottles. The 2 choices I'm trying to decide on are: Either they have to buy me pop from the vending machine up near the gymnasium , or the other idea is take me to McDonald's (like after school) and buy me both a McFlurry and a Pop/soda.
Which sounds like a better idea Vending machine or McDonald's?

I used to go to McDonald's a lot when I was 12/13 and younger. I only recently learned when I was really, really young that we stopped at a McDonald's Drive through in (town near Maternal grandparents town) on our way to town (Paternal grandparents town). I always thought we got the food from (McDonald's in our town). Mom and I didn't stop going to McDonald's until after I was 15.
But they would have to buy it for me from 12(I can't remember what time classes started up again after lunch in elementary school)-3:30pm.
So I guess mcdonalds is the better option?
Well, this is an interesting scenario! In my experience, bullies aren't really motivated to make-up for what they've done. I guess I usually experienced bullies just laughing in my place when I suggested things they might try instead.
I was talking with our Bullying Prevention Specialist at the school district I work in today, and he was saying that most bullies suffer from trauma. What they really need is to experience caring relationships with adults, with educators, for example. More than anything, that helps to rewire the damage caused by the trauma--but it has to be genuine, caring interactions.
In your story, is there an educator or other adult who could step in?
i remember when i was in4th grade. i was at a school where upper and lower grades had differnt playgrounds. no swings was the only difference. but this big as in tall girl probably 6th grade threatened to beat me up. not once but twice. iam forever short i have the gram gene. lol
anyway for some reason i wasn't afraid and i told her go ahead. she never hit me either time. bullies also hate when you call their bluff.

you missed the point. i never bribed the girl not even once. i just called her on it. and she got bored after the second fail i guess since i wasn't afraid she got bored with me i think because after the second time she didn't bother with me.
No, I got the point, for sure. I just didn't respond to your point--I went off on a tangent, thinking about MadameLee's story... But, before I went off on the tangent, here's what I was thinking about your anecdote: I can totally see that approach working when done by you! You showed yourself to be brave, and she didn't have the effect that she wanted. She probably admired you, too! I know I do!

Hi @Acarb90 don't feel guilty. We all have busy times of our life. I know I've been not so great at catching up recently.
Our stories aren't going to disappear so you'll be able to catch up when you've got some more free time. However simLit reading and writing is a hobby and so should not feel like a chore or a stress.

Hello. As I keep struggling with the next chapter, well, here's the same link of the previous thing I did for the story. For anyone unfamiliar with Little Plague, it follows an investigation of a private detective and her assistant in 1897 San Myshuno. Detective Vatore is looking into a series of disappearances, and Off the Rails happens to someone somewhere else, some time before she begins her investigation. Thus, it can very well be read before the actual first chapter, and I find it one of the best things I've ever written, so I, in spite of having posted a link here some months prior, would like to do it again. Thank you.

@simscognito It's not really a side chapter as much as it is a callback to who Lilith is trying to find. I intend on writing two more chapters akin to it and placing them between those that follow her investigation.
Knowing a long series might overwhelm some, I tried to write this one so that it's something new readers could easily pick up regardless of whether they intend to read the rest while also expanding upon plot elements. Off the rails doesn't tie to the other chapters as much as they tie to it.
